A Game Too Good To Put Down!
Hello guys, S.S here with another review! Been a while, eh? Anyways, today we review Pokémon Shattered Dreams(Beta 1). Pokémon Shattered Dreams is a game set three years after Team Rocket falls in Kanto, in a region called Zinnos. You and your best friend, which changes upon gender, are seven-teen years of age. In this, you capture various Pokémon from Different Generations. You also try to show Eris she is wrong, and become a strong trainer. You also try to stop Team Rocket and their evil plots. Now, I personally wish it didn't end on a part where everything was getting good.(More into it with Depth.) Now, as usual, we start the review with Least to Greatest!
This Depth... HAS NO RATING!*Rage*: I couldn't rate Depth because, well, it ended a little early in the game. This is a Beta, so I understand that. Warning to you guys, it ends at Ouija Temple 3rd floor. I was quite disappointed.(More like: I was screaming and trying to strangle my laptop. We didn't get to meet the person on the top! NOOOOOO!) But, it was good Depth in the beginning of the game. I can't give Depth a rating though, due to not knowing all of the things I could do. I do hate leaving things blank though, don't you?
Difficulty... Why does it taste SOUR?: The Difficulty is bitter-sweet. Sometimes, it's a breeze. Others, it's like going through Hades and back without a scratch. I rate it a seven because of the bumps that make it hard to go through. I got stuck for two days one little area. When I learned what to do... I was banging my head on my desk for being dumb. Other than that though, it was pretty easy.
Dunaduna Dunaduna GRAPHICS: The Graphics were great, except for a few hiccups here and there.(I put glitches in the hiccups) I love how it follows your current season. It also randomly generates Rain. Normal graphics for Pokémon, yes, but still... Pokémon doesn't follow seasons, now does it? There were some hiccups here and there. Like I was floating off the screen.(I had the perfect WTF face going on when that happened. My brother would've taken a picture.) So, just because of the hiccups, Graphics gets a nine.(If it had a nine. Nine, then Graphics would have that.)
I got what I wanted with Sound!: Finally, someone who knows we want a friggin' soundtrack. The soundtrack is a radio, which randomly generates songs from other Pokémon games. Just for that it got a ten. I was a bit disappointed that the Pokémon didn't say their names, and that the trainer sprite couldn't say the moves. But, I got over that when I found out we had a radio in this game. I threw out those things as soon as I saw the radio function.
Oh mer gerd, Pokémon games with Story: Holy crud, a actual awesome story with Pokémon? I keep getting surprised by these hacks. I said a bit of the story in the looong intro of mine, but there is a lot more. From what I got so far, I rated it well. In this game you do not get just one, not two, but THREE, Yes THREE, Rivals. One is your best friend, who changes depending on your gender. The second one is the traditional one where you pick his name.(Lucky sucker has a SHINY hoothoot. I am JELLY.) And the story has quite a bit more to digest than regular Pokémon games. In regular Pokémon games, it has the same story in all truthfulness. But this hack, it is full of twist and surprises. Once you play it, you might wanna go looking for the complete version of the game.(That is, if you are like me and want to finish a game. Just my opinion.) so Story you earn a ten!
Addictiveness.. We all know how it is gonna end.: If you have ever read one of my reviews on any Pokemon game/hack, you know addictiveness always gets a ten. This time though, it is because of the range of Pokemon you get, and the story the game follows on. Also, it just sucks you in like a vacuum. As all Pokemon games..
Over All We Get The Amazing Number of Nine.Seven!
Nine.Seven! I am surprised that I am the first to review this game, and that not many people play this game. Sure, it is a beta, but it deserves more attention than it is getting. I highly recommend this game to, well, anyone who wants to try it. The plot keeps you wanting more, the game is enjoyable, and much more things. So please, test out the game and see if you like it.
See you guys next time I decide to drop a review on you all! ~S.S
