Hey there!
I'm happy to see a coding section, here. I'm also a total newbie on this site, by the way.
I am very very fluent in HTML and CSS, I love making webpages.
But, this site makes me want to create some of my own original games.. I would love to learn any kind of programming language in order to make them.

Any tutorials out there?
I'd most appreciate a reply with the earliest basics of one of a language so I can get the idea of it.
Thanks soo much!

I really can't help you with anything to do with that but if you ever use Dreamweaver to create a website just let me know. I have used Dreamweaver a lot.

I'm a computer science major, so I've worked with both C++ and Javascript some before. I won't pretend to be an expert, but I could certainly help with the basics.

But to start with Javascript, I think this book could help. And here's a set of resources that were made specifically for a class on HTML 5 game development (which is programmed in Javascript). The class itself wasn't very good from what I saw, and most people on their forums seem to think the same thing, so I can't suggest that. The resources seem fine, though.

Learning to program C++ or anything else takes a lot of time, and if you want to make a game, it probably isn't worth all the effort. If I were you, I'd suggest getting a copy of RPGMaker and learning to use that. You can make some very basic games without any programming at all, but if you learn to use the RPGmaker scripting language, you can start making all sorts of customized stuff, too! It's probably a better starting place for learning to make games, than learning to program is, since you'll actually be able to get to the stuff you want to do rather quickly.

For generic intro to Javascript, use w3schools (Google it) that's what they had me look through when I started my job, and also covers HTML and CSS and how the three interact with each other. C++ is so commonly used that you can find many Youtube videos about it as well as numerous tutorials in libraries and on the web. Take a look around and see what works for you.

For a basic intro to Javascript you can try these tutorials:
http://www.w3schools.com/js/default.asp
http://learn.jquery.com/javascript-101/

If you get into Javascript I highly recommend looking into learning to use the jQuery library as well. It is basically a "condensed" version of Javascript that greatly simplifies programming; It follows the same logic as Javascript, but uses shortened syntax.

C++ is a lot more complicated and unfounforgi than html, it would take a long time before you could do anything practical with it. Iv done a year so far and im still really only basic.
