I've been trying to play Shadowgate 64 on Mupen64 with no luck. I would try it with another emulator plugin if the option were available yet Mupen was the only one available. That aside, here's the problem and the steps I went through to try fixing it myself.

In starting the game it gives me the "No controller detected" screen when I have my wireless xbox360 controller connected. Surely I can play the game all via keyboard yet my preference had been using a controller if there is a possibility. That aside, in trying to access the emulator menu by double clicking the screen, nothing comes up, even when it's playable via keyboard. I also tried to reinstall the RGR yet experience no changes. Everything else works fine but as it seems, Mupen64 is the problem.

Personally I wanted to see if I can fix the problem from the Plugins folder itself by going into the Mupen64Plus folder and investigating the InputAutoCfg file and downloading a personal version of Mupen64 and adjusting the configuration files accordingly. Unfortunately there are too many factors to go through that I am not able to resolve it on my end. The only plugin that worked on the personal Mupen64 emulator for the xbox360 controller was the TASInputPlugin0.6 dll which allowed me to detect and configure it through the program. Though I was able to do that, I couldn't transfer that info to the Vizzed plugin folder.

I hope this information is enough to explain the steps I've taken and where my problem resides. Again, if the other emulator plugin was available on the game, I would definitely utilize that instead. So any help would be great since I would love to play shadowgate 64 on my xbox360 controller if possible.

Thank you.

Check if your computer is actually picking up your controller. Go into your control panel, and then game controllers. Alternatively, I don't know if a Mac can use a controller, so if you are using one of those I cannot help you.
If your computer is picking up your controller, try using the other emulator, 1964.

My computer recognizes the controller, I've used it on various other emulators. Also Shadowgate 64 only has Mupen64 available for it unfortunately since the 1964 does recognize the xbox360 controller. Lastly, I am using a PC, Windows 7 64 bit.

UPDATE:
So I downloaded a standalone Mupen64 emulator for my computer in order to troubleshoot the controller problem in the site. The best solution that worked was something I found in http://www.emutalk.net/threads/44284-Mupen64Plus-for-Windows with a version that included a plugin that detected the xbox 360 controller. The name of the plugin itself is "blight_input.dll".

Since finding it, I tried to see about changing the configuration files in the Vizzed RGR Plugin Folder yet with no progress. Perhaps this can be implemented in the next update along with the "click for menu" fix? I know many give the suggestion of trying 1964 instead, yet not all Nintendo 64 games have that option available on the site(e.g.: Shadowgate 64, Spiderman).
