Here is a really quick guide through Mega Man x which may be good or bad I don't care
 Intro Stage : This stage isn't really deserve of being talked about the only thing worth mentioning is that you can died if you rush to the bee crashing you can die but even then nothing worth noting
 Chill Penguin: this stage isn't really that annoying of a stage except for the axe logs throwers guys but even then it not that hard then some more wall jumping but more interesting is that you get a speed upgrade and this is a huge one because now you can skip huge gaps and enemies and it's in the middle of the stage which is awesome after that mech suit time and them some snowball throwers then chill penguin he isn't that hard he shoot ice blocks then makes penguins and then send them into you and do the Belly slide which does a lot but nothing really hard after defeating you get the ice shotgun
 Spark Mandrill: the beginning of this stage has little electric ball going to the ladder and after that you have this dark room then a little light guys pass by you really fast hitting you after 5-10 more of those you go down the hall a bit more boom mini boss which isn't hard if you have storm eagle weapon if not he still isn't it just takes practice after that cannon hallway and then turtles stuff after word Spark Mandrill use shotgun ice to freeze him and stun lock him but if you don't he punches you and climbs on the ceiling.
  Armored Armadillo: the stage starts with a cart with spikes riding down a hill and then pits after that you have a bulldozer with spikes but after that when  it's roll into spikes behind it is a there a sub tank after that more bats and stuff then another cart riding and another bull dozer but try to either destroy it or get in front of it because if you do heart piece then one more karts section and finally armored armadillo he spins around in a ball which is really predictable and some cannons use the spark thing in order to kill him
 Launch Octopus: if you ever played ring man stage yeah it's back the rest of the stage is really easy so I'm only going to talk about the bosses first is this fish like boss in which they send harpoons out and tries to suck you in the but only the second rematches has spikes and that it's then a huge serpentine type thing comes out it's weak spots is it's head and tail so no biggie and then launch octopus will shoot these missiles at you and then this tornado like thing to suck vlood or to steal your energy use rolling shield to kill him
Boomer Kwanger: sorry if I spelled the name wrong but do you know electman stage yeah that but not as bad first avoid the lazers or else these auto target things will shoot you then vertigo time after that even more vertigo time but with cannons and finally Boomer he will teleport around the room shooting his claws things at you wall jump repeatly and use launch octopus that it for him
Sting Chameleon: this stage has hidden mets and more axe guys then there is falling rocks after that a motion and then mech section and really that's it in the stage  except there a hidden mini boss anyway sting chameleon will go invincible and then    reappear also he will shoot three shots and also send down spikes use the boomerang thing to kill him
Storm Eagle if I had to pick one word to describe this stage its platforms first you go up some platforms then you jump across some of them and then you do it again that is the stage however storm eagle is not as vertigo he will push you around using wing power or his wind and then he will swoop at you or make eaglets use sting chameleon
Flame Mammoth if you have beat chill penguin the floor is ice so use the ice to skip the convector belt then hop down the hole go under the platform to get a heart piece go up to the ledge go back to the highest points jump to the wall and break the blocks get sub tank go back to the ledge avoid crap defeat Joes go to flame mammoth use storm eagle tornado thing get paid and win
(btw chill penguin is weak to flame mammoth)

upgrades and heart tanks locations
heart tanks in chill penguin stage jump the platform over the dragon flies use flame mammoth weapon on one of the hives get heart piece
storm eagle at first moving platform section jump off with speed boost 
flame mammoth defeat chill penguin stage slide under 
spark mandrill right before second dashing light thing use either boom kwanger weapon or use skill to get up on the platform
Armored armadillo stage get in front of second bull dozer and jump up of the platform
boomer kwanger use upgraded ice shotgun or boomerang to get it
sting chameleon jump then first hole after cave to underwater crap use speed jump to get it
item
body armor sting chameleon after same hole as heart piece wall climb up that and fight mini boss get paid
helmet storm eagle big huge pillar that you wall jump up fall down speed jump up 
weapon flame mammoth stage use skill before miners with the hanging out blocks use skill to get up
sub tanks
storm eagle use first rising and falling platforms go left shoot glass and get 
armored armadillo after first steamroller die go back to where it starts and get it
spark mandrill take bottom path in the first part use boomerang 
flame mammoth get to highest platform and break blocks get it 
Hadoken beat all bosses get all sub tanks get all heart pieces fill sub tanks go to the end of the armor armadillo stage get to the of the wall before the boss escape repeat till you do it  4 times do down forward fire 
hope this helps and I'm not doing the final stages that for you to figure out
Also i played the 8  beginning stage mega buster no upgrades except speed boost but that's it and here is my review
Chill Penguin : easy
Spark Mandrill : medium 
Armor Armadillo : if you face armor armadillo with no upgrades or boss weapons your going to have a bad time
Launch Octopus : hard
Boomer Kwanger : medium 
Sting Chameleon : if you face sting chameleon with no upgrades or boss weapons your gonna have a bad time
Storm Eagle : easy
Flame Mammoth : medium 

This wasn't the best "guide" through anything, it was more of a "tell you about one or two enemies in mmx" so yeah, that's not a guide, thanks for the power up placements though

Great I found a guide that I really needed, rooney03: What tips can you give me that might help me defeat the armadillo? I know you said use the spark thing. But what do you mean by "spark thing" ??

RockmanXLan : I know I'm not the guy who wrote the guide, but the "spark thing" is the Electric Spark, gotten by beating Spark Mandrill. Regardless, Armored Armadillo is still one of the hardest mavericks in the game (aside from Sigma)even with his weakness. The electric spark destroys his shield, making it so that he's not invincible when he rolls up into a ball and starts bouncing around. 

omgcookies22 : This really isn't a guide. Even the power up placements don't help that much since you didn't have much description on where the power ups were. You could at least have screen shots of the game to help players find the items. You know that the Mega Man series are considered to be the hardest game series in existence, and Mega Man X is no exception. Sure, you may find the game easy, but other people might not and a guide is supposed to help the person through the game. The help I get here is very, very minimal. This is your first guide but please make the guides you write in the future have more information, please. Also, the grammar in this guide isn't very good. Please proof read next time. You say that you don't care whether this guide is good or not. Well, if all the other guides you write are of bad quality, you might get banned from this board.
