well, today was easy.... a whole bunch of new people got points which meant very little sorting for me. I won, yet again. DH got second, Juliet got eighth and Ziggy again didn't post. Not sure what happened to that guy but I guess he doesn't want to win anymore After Juliet it's all new people. Not a bad first day for Vintage and a bunch of ties lower down.

Pretty slow day though. Barely over 200 posts. We need a few more people around here to get the post count back up to almost 300 like it was a few days ago.... I mean come on people... does this competition mean nothing just because I'm winning it?

Still very interesting competition those 2 had trying to out post each other

Geeogree though he had me, he was leading by like 6 posts until the very last minute literally and I bet he was surprised to see me make 9 posts in the last minute. He of course got 2 more in but I ended up winning by 1!

I took the sneaky approach, had all my posts filled out in tabs waiting for the last minute to throw him off. I was so close to the last few seconds that one of my pre-filled posts didn't get submitted in time before the day ended.

Haven't had that much fun and excitement posting in a while, just glad this underdog could take down the juggernaut for just 1 day!

wow, so today has been a back and forth battle between Davideo and I. It started out earlier with Davideo taking a commanding lead with about 40 posts by the middle of the day. I figured at the rate he was going I wouldn't catch him but he disappeared for a while and I was able to catch him and then take the lead. Well, at the end of the day he slipped onto the board and began to make a run for the lead. I responded and we made about 25 posts each in the last 10 minutes of the night. However, the reason he was able to beat me was that we was saving up replies in his tabs (just like I had said somewhere earlier in this thread.... I'm sure of it ) and with just a minute to go he posted all his replies. I was posting the entire time trying to stay ahead because I had my suspicions about what he was doing but I wasn't fast enough. I didn't think he had more than 10 threads saved up.... in the end David beat me by 1 post to win the day. I'm very impressed with the effort. He said to me he may not win the competition but he's proud to have won this day. And I have to say I'm impressed. Not even crazy fast ziggy could beat me but Davideo pulled it off. Gotta respect a victory.

Oh, and other people got points too.

Was a very exciting night, that's for sure. I may be able to finish this competition with 5th, I've got a good amount of points to maintain it but than again, still 20 days left of the month...

It was fun though Geeogree, I love a good challenge like that and I was starting to fear toward the end there that I didn't have enough pre-filled posts saved up since you were going on a pretty big splurge toward the last few minutes lol.

well, I slowed down a little for the same reason... I thought I had built up enough of a lead to win.... but I kept going just in case.... and even that wasn't enough.

and yeah, you could pretty easily maintain fifth.... today was a very heavy posting day. It's easier to pick up points on slow days. Only need about 25 posts to get top 5.... although after 5th today the post count dropped a LOT.
