Golden Axe
For the Wonderswan Color.

What can I say? The game itself is truly a classic.
You battle your way through hundreds of enemies and take on the Death Adder...
but then the game says nope.. You then have to take on the true final boss the Death Bringer
aka Death Adders mentor.
Fight your way through 8 stages as the fiery Tyris Flare, Ax Battler and the dwarf : Guilius Thunderhead
how is probably the most popular of the trio.

Ratings :
Overall : 10 / 10
Graphics : 10 / 10
Sound : 10 / 10
Addictiveness : 8 / 10
Story : 5 / 10
Difficulty : 5 / 10

Graphics : 10 / 10
From character design to background what is there to hate? Personally my favourite thing has
to be the specials... From Tyris Flares fiery approach to Guilius Thunderhead's Electric fueled specials.

This my friend is Tyris Flare (with the other two heroes) ... Not like they made her outfit skimpy on purpose...
But that aside.. For a handheld that was going against the Game boy it holds its own
as its graphics keep to the original Sega Genesis / Sega Mega original version of the game
adding to its nostalgia factor and compared to some over Wonderswan Color games it certainly
isn't the worst!
Sound : 6 / 10
Not much to go on but I do like the sounds in this game... besides the getting hit sound
Besides that flaw the music is okay (opening screen.)

Addictiveness : 8 / 10

If anything this is a game I would quit until I complete... and that saying something.
You will want to win this game once you start hitting the little imps for magic bottles :

If not that then I'm sure you play ever time again for that little bit of nostalgia.

Story : 5 / 10
Albeit theres isnt a lot of story to golden axe besides ;
Tyris Flare's Father and Mother was killed by Death Adder,
Ax Battler's Mother was killed by Death Adder and
Guilius Thunderhead's Brother was killed by Death Adder.
So it's the same old avenging manor of storyline but hey it works does it not?

Difficulty : 5 / 10

If one thing it can be a bit difficult to control at first but once you get the hang of it its as easy as anything!
Just try not to use up all your specials at once, because your best saving them for the bosses.

Overall : 10 / 10
Even if it is a handheld port from the Sega Genesis (Sega Mega in the UK) its still worth playing,
If its for you OCD gaming or your nostalgic trip through your past this game is well worth playing...
I only played it really to be reminded how fun it was as a child, the nostalgia appears amazingly.

So be it you play this hand-held port or the original Sega Genesis / Mega, you will definitely gain some
nostalgia and will have a good time... or bad depending how well you play the game.

So this has been a bit of a ramble... not to good at reviews as you can see but hay nobodies perfect.
Please give me any advice in a reply I would love to here it .
