Every time I load up a game ill try and either start  a new one or load one up, but I cannot because the joy pad is either bugged or glitched. I cannot use any of the buttons except enter for start and space bar for speedup and whenever I attempt to change any of the keys for that button it does not switch, I have already restarted, deleted old data, un installed/installed/repaired multiple times and it still will not work, the browser I am attempting to do this on is firefox.

When the game is loaded, click the link in the upper left-hand corner that says "Play Using Mednafen" This will switch to a different emulator which may work for you. People who have complained about their controls not setting properly in GBA games have found that this alternate emulator allowed them to set keys and play just fine.

I'm having the same problem. Everything got all buggy when i updated to the new rgr plugin. It worked just fine for a while, I don't know what happened. I enjoy the rgr plugin more than the others personally. I'm looking more for a quick fix rather than an emulator change if that's possible. At first I thought it was due to maintenance, but now I'm doubting that theory. I'd like to keep my saves is the main issue. I did see a glimpse of text with a link that said something along the lines of, 'click here if your keyboard isn't working properly'. something like that, hope this helps. Thanks in advance!

To let everyone know (as simplistic or stupid as it will sound) the RGR Plugin has been having problems with controls for the past 2 years which apparently could not be fixed - unless you use the Mednafen emulator.

Yes I understand that, however this latest bug has been just recently. The only problem I ever had before this was games glitching out or crashing, but never had issues with the joypad itself. Custom controls help me play the game with ease, and some of these games only use the RGR plugin, which i can't customize because it's messing up somehow. I've reset my laptop after uninstalling RGR 2.0, then re-downloaded, refreshed the page, reset emulator...I get I can just use another emulator. But this limits the amount of games I can play and takes away save files since I would have to switch emulators.

Edit: I went back and checked on the keyboard issues. It said to disable IE protection (which vizzed.com is on trusted sites anyway) or use a pc controller (which i still can't edit anyway) Also I'll try running it in Firefox. Just found some older threads...

And to no avail. So then I've exhausted all possibilities =/ (Uninstall -> re-download, Using firefox, cleared cache/cookies, IE protection...)
Any other ideas? I'm wiiiiide open lol

WolfxWhisperer : No one knows why this happens to some people. I have never had a control configuration issue on any version of the RGR plugin. I play GBA games on here all the time and have never experienced a problem. You'll probably have to switch over to Mednafen as so far no one has reported an issue with that emulator.

If you REALLY must use VBA to do your GBA gaming, you can edit the configuration file directly, but unless you know what you're doing, that's a bit hard. If you're desperate, you can PM me for help on that, but I really suggest using Mednafen because it works fine and even seems to have a higher game compatibility. Refer to my earlier post for more details on how to do that.

Anyway, this question has been answered as much as it can be, so I'm going to close the thread.
