Villains,theres quite a few,from G1 to G4...well more like G1 and G4,G2 and G3 didn't have much villains

Personally I liked discord and chrysalis about the same,and honestly,I dislike Nightmare moon

I think Discord and Chrysalis were the most interesting. Discord because he was basically Q from Star Trek and Chrysalis because I like what they did with the Changeling concept.

I don't really count characters like Trixie and Gilda as "villains" per se (especially with Trixie reforming)... they're more antagonists than anything else. I do think Trixie is a really neat character though.

I'd have to say Discord is best villain by far.  I mean come on, chocolate rain!  It doesn't get much better than that.  Even though they didn't do as well as they should have with Discord in Keep Calm and Flutter On. 

The more I think about,the more I think Tirek is a cooler villain then Discord,just the way he looks,he was a BAMF,also who voted for grogar? I didn't think he was very popular

In my book, Discord wins hands (paws, claws, whatever) down. No villain came as close to victory like him. Discord not only was able to convince the mane 6 to go on a wild goose chase --for the Elements of Harmony-- in the labyrinth, he managed to turn all of them (Twilight Sparkle indirectly) into the opposite of who they were. Destroying their friendships was exactly what Discord needed.


Discord may have lost to the mane 6 due to his cocky attitude, but he wasn't the only villain to be defeated like that. Queen Chrysalis was taken down with the same element she used to gain the upper hand --which considering how it all went down was just stupid if you ask me.

I actually like Nightmare Moon, she gets 2nd place in my opinion. It was pretty clever of the developers to have her interfere with the mane 6 but end up being her own downfall --for unintentionally showing Twilight what the other five ponies represent. Even better for NMM, she actually had a clear back-story.

King Sombra lacked character beyond the challenges he had prepared before his first defeat. Having Twilight face her biggest fears, think outside the box, and sacrifice the spotlight for the sake of others is a great variety of situations that Sombra put her through, but it still doesn't tell us anything about Sombra himself.

Discord, definitely.
Long story short: He's a trickster, which you can expect from the God of Chaos.
I wonder if he'll become a side character that helps the Mane Six.
Open a joke shop in Ponyville or Canterlot, maybe?
It would make a good interaction between Discord and Pinkie Pie.

If I can be honest Discord won't be converted into a good guy role.. 

I think the producers are aware that it will make him less appealing etc... 

Also he said he still will pretty much cause chaos but on the side of good.... So maybe he will just be the new attraction to ponyville to attract tourists lol.....

Either way... still not my favourite villain... or is he?

In my opinion Queen Chrysalis is the best because she took control of Canterlot a city that is heavily guarded. Chrysalis had an army for Celestia's sake and was able to capture Celestia and the mane 6. All Discord did was capture Ponyville a town with no guards and trick the ponies he didn't even get close to winning as Chrysalis did. Discord got immobilized in stone when he was defeated Chrysalis just got blown away and is able to come back. Discord also got reformed while Chrysalis is still evil and is out there somewhere.

I'm not going to talk about King Sombra and Nightmare Moon because Sombra has no real character and didn't do much and NM didn't accomplished anything ether.

Discord all the way!!!!! Though in fanfiction, he loses his quirky nature and becomes terrifying!!!!! I am almost 20% certain that this is more for the tv show then the fanfiction!

LOL it's probably Chrysalis because she needs back story, brah.
I mean why did she want to totally anialate everyone "ever sind she was small?"
What happened when she was small?
And I'm waiting for the day that there's a rebellious changling that don't wanna hurt nobody.
I'd probably want to see more Discord too as I wanna know of what use he would be of (chocolate rain cafe, maybe?)
And (maybe) more of Sombra. Hey, actually all the villans need a sort of backstory episode.
Ehhh, I'll just stick around and wait for part 5/4 of Turnabout Storm.

I Really think Discord is the best villain ever , you could that already .

I love Queen Chrysalis. She was so PERFECT in those 2 episodes and I expect to see more of her throughout the series.

Queen Chrysalis because she's very sinister, and I really like the song This Day Aria. I honestly don't see why Discord would be the best villian, because he's just plain lazy.
