I start with anything. Riffs, chord progressions, lyrics, whatever. I also find it helps to change instrument. if a progression doesn't sound quite right, change from guitar to piano, and work from there.

No, I don't write any songs, I hope to play an instrument like the guitar though, unfortunately I haven't written any songs even though I have a great appreciation for music. Lots of my friends write music because they play guitar, there are a few guys that I know that are aspiring rappers and they write songs. But I hope to get more into this sort of thing someday. I just, unfortunately don't play an instrument, I really wish that I could though, it would really be such an awesome opportunity and a privilege to be able to learn, and play an instrument and right songs to go with it.

I write music all the time, in fact. Although most of my songs never have words, simply because I'm not good at writing lyrics, but whatever. If I use words, I'll just take some premade samples or something and add them in there. It works for electronic music.

I make avant-garde sound collages using audio samples and manipulating recorded sounds. So far I've finished 2 of my projects and I'm working on my third one. I got one effect by leaving my computer mic on in my room for 40 minutes. It's pretty fun.
