Mine is Generations HD because:

It has not one but TWO of my favourite Sonic characters in it,
Graphics = AMAZING,
Sonic 1 is in it,
Controls are very smooth (except Amy's race in Zone 3 and skydiving)!!
Great storyline,
Awesome old levels,
2 SONICS!!!

Stuck between Sonic 2 and Unleashed
Although Unleashed had some bugs and mid-reads, it had a life to it.
The music and design did what they were supposed to do, create a unique atmosphere in each area, although I would have went with all anthropic people, the humans were stylized enough to fit in the universe unlike Sonic 06. It was fun and difficult, but more than worth it.
Sonic 2 just has A LOT of nostalgia points with me, seeing how I played the living crap out of it.

My favorite Sonic game is Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. I used to always play this game everyday during my childhood. The game play was outstanding, in my opinion, and the music was always in my head. Live and Learn still gives me goose bumps.
