Pokémon Psychic is definitely an interesting hack, especially for those who love their legendary Pokémon. This game is a hack of Shappire Version and I noticed while I was playing that not much has changed. But what makes this game interesting you ask? Well Pokémon like Mewtwo, Jirachi and many other legendary Pokémon are catchable in the wild and you can buy as many Master balls as you wish for free. Now this may sound like a dream come true, but I think it kind of takes away from the actual game play and definitely makes the game too easy. The can understand catching legendary Pokémon in the wild as being amazing, but couldn't the person who made the hack have put them in later routes instead of right at the first thing of tall grass? In fact as you continue on your journey farther and farther on, you realize that you are barely even running into legendary Pokémon anymore, and instead the normal Pokémon you would have come across anyway.

I'm not directly just saying that this game sucks (after all I did rate the game a 9), or this game was awesome. I want to go and explain, why I think it is a decent Pokémon game and also why I think it needs some work as well. First off, let's start by what I found interesting and why I liked the game, I did like the fact that you could catch legendary Pokémon in the wild it made the search for them a lot easier (maybe too easy), and it definitely affected game play making you one of the biggest baddest trainers ever. Also I did think it was quite nice to buy Master balls in the first Pokemart, I have always waited for a Pokémon game where you could buy them in a store.

Now for the things that I feel the game needs to be worked on, lets start with the overall game play this could have been changed to tie in a different objective or goal but no the game plays out just the same as the original Shappire did and it made the game in a way kind of boring if you played too long. Next the legendary Pokémon you can catch should be in different routes and not directly at the beginning of the game, this flaw makes the game too easy not just in my opinion but I'm sure in many other peoples opinion as well (my beginning party consisted of Mewtwo, Jirachi, Rayquza, Groudon, Dexoys and Mew). Next the Master balls, even though I do like the fact that you can buy them I did also find a few problems, first making them worth zero dollars makes the game even easier than the abundance of legendaries and you can only get them in the first Pokemart you run into. What I think should have been done with the Master balls is this, once you where given the Master ball by the President of Devon (or the other guy I can't really remember who gave it to you right now), then it should have been buyable in the next Pokemart but  have them cost 2500. It just makes sense to me. I don't know if everyone will feel the same way.

Now let's move on to the important stuff! I rated the game a solid 9, because well I didn't care that much for Ruby or Shappire and this game is really no different also the above mentioned flaws I had with the game. The graphics I rated a 7, not that they are bad but there was something about Ruby and Shappires graphics that made things look strange maybe more pointed? I'm not entirely sure, but I always felt that they could have used some work. Also, the hacker didn't change of any of the tiles or graphics at all in his/her remake of the game.

The sounds of the game I also gave a 7, because although some of the games music can be nice to listen to, over listening makes the music kind of annoying fast. Hoenn music seems to be a lot different than Kanto or Johto and I'm not sure how I feel about the difference. Not to mention I can't stand the song that plays when you are on your bike or surfing. Also, again like I said with the graphics there was no change from the hacker either. I think that little changes like this add personality to the game, it sort of makes the game your own whether it be small and hardly seen or large and noticeable.

The addictiveness of the game I gave an 8, and again it is just like Shappire which I was never really that into. It is a fun game, please do not think I hate the game I love Ruby and Shappire. There were just a lot of things I felt needed fixed, and things that just didn't put me in the gotta catch em' all mood. I kind of think that it was because they placed me in a really strange region, I mean Hoenn was definitely different than Johto and Kanto, and well maybe I just don't really belong there. But when I did start this game I did have some fun, and played for a day or two until I beat it (again because of how much easier the hacker made it).

The depth of the game I gave a 5 because it was not any more longer than the regular Shappire version, it was actually about the same pace just a lot easier and for the difficulty I gave it a 3. And that is the poorest rating I have ever given any game so far, it's just that this game is way too easy. If the hacker would have added a few things and changed somethings up they could have made this a pretty hard and challenging game. They could have made this a lot of fun, but instead they made it short and extremely easy.

I do believe that is all I can really say about this game. I would say that if you are into games where you can finish it fast and have the best items and Pokémon imaginable then this game would be a home run, but if you are into challenging Pokémon games then this may not be the game for you.
