Hey guys, this is Ender44 here doing a review of my personal favorite, the legend of Zelda, Majora's mask. And yeah, I did a review of this a couple of months ago, but I didn't go into detail, and spent the entire time talking about how much I love it, and not why you should. Majora's mask was the last game to be released on the Nintendo 64. And it has a pretty funny back story. While working on ura Zelda, Aomuma, one of Zelda's main developers, bargained with Myamoto, who is basically Nintendo personified, that if he could make a game within a year, they wouldn't have to work on Ura Zelda. And BOOM, they did it. And it sparked into what I consider the best thing we human beings have going for us. In case you haven't noticed yet, I love this game. Lets get into the review.

Graphics-
As previously stated, this was the last game released on the N64, and is subsequently the best looking N64 game out there. It re-uses a lot of characters from ocarina of time, making the Cucco lady Anju, making Malon Romani, and making grog a mohawked farmer. It also makes use of the graphics engine from Ocarina of time, but polishes up a few parts, taking away some of the parts that were just cardboard in ocarina of time (I'm references most of castle town when I say made of cardboard, in case you didn't notice while you played through it). So yeah, the graphics are basically a polished ocarina of time, which is really good for an N64 game. And into the next part of the graphics. Zeldadungeon.net has done an article about this and I really agree. The majoras mask team did a great job of giving the environment "That ominous feeling" The look of termina (which looks like terminal if you didn't notice, also terminate) is just, bleak. They did a fantastic job of making this place look like, a genuinely sad place. Personally for me, it was the dungeons and the astral observatory. In the astral observatory, the blend of colors makes it look just... man its hard to describe, some of you know what I mean, the astral observatory really enforces the ominous feeling, especially when you are felling the earthquakes of the final day.

Sound- Man, I love the music in this game. I go to sleep to the song of healing every night and the music also helps reinforce that ominous feeling. So much so that some of the music made it into the Ben creepypasta which, that's a whole other can of worms I am not looking to open. Termina field had great music, I'm listening to that song as I type this. And the music sets the mood of this game so well ( I seem to say that a lot) listen to it, you'll see my point.

Addictiveness- Ive played and beaten this game six times. Its awesome. This game has a ton of replay value. The side quests can get a little drawn out at some points, but the story they present, and the satisfied feeling you get of helping save these people lives with the side quest and the main quest, is very satisfying. Making you want to play the game again even more. Though, the difficulty of multiple parts in the game can make you want to stop playing.

Story- (spoilers of random parts) Oh boy, I love this part. Majoras mask is praised for its story especially by me. Majoras mask is said by many to pull at your heart strings seamlessly and yeah, I believe that. You start the game as Link. You've beaten ganondorf, You've saved Zelda, You've traveled across time. How much trouble can one Imp be? Quite a bit of trouble. This imp has taken majoras mask, a mask housing a demonic entity with the assumed name of majora. The skull kid with his new power wreck havoc with termina and turns you into a tiny deku scrub. You eventually make your way to clock town, the main town in a land far away from  hyrule, a land called termina. Our hero is brought head first into the middle, or end I might say, of the evil majoras wrath. Termina's lone satellite has been drawn out of orbit, and is three days away from destroying everything.  You, the hero of time, must use your powers of time, and your courage to destroy the evil majora. But, Majora has done so much more. Majora has wrecked the lives of so many people in termina. And you alone, without them realizing it, can help them. Kafei has been turned into a child, days before his wedding. The postman wants to run for his life, but hold his job as a priority. A monkey is to be killed for a crime he didn't commit. A goron hero is powerless to save his people. Mikau a Zora guitarist is unable to save the babies of the one he loves. And people in a valley fight a war long since finished. And majora sits, waiting for you.

Depth- For a four dungeon game, there is quite a bit to do. There are 25 masks to collect, tons of heart pieces, four dungeons as previously stated, and yeah, TONS of side quests.

Difficulty- This game is really hard. I couldn't of beaten it without massive abuse of a walk through and hours of game play. Some of the side quests require on the dot punctuality, or having to restart the whole thing. The dungeons are INCREDIBLY difficult, and the masks are hard to get. I would recommend a walk through.

And that's it, the legend of Zelda majoras mask. About a thousand words, maybe  putting me in the running for the red jersey! Mupen64 plus is the emulator I would recommend although it tends to leave out a few little things that can add up to be pretty annoying. It doesn't show the little target when you Z target, it doesn't show what time it is on the clock, and you cant really open up the menu to change the controls. Well, that's about all I have to say about this game besides, play it, its really awesome.
