Ace Combat Electroshpere have to be my favorite Playstation 1 game of all time, but I have to tell that there is a huge difference between the American and Japanese one. Once you play both of them you probably going to play the Japanese more, because that version is so way better than the U.S.It is the third installment of the game. Also I have to tell you that the song, and the graphics and game play is the same, and asking yourself what make the Japanese better than the U.S version. The game is a flight simulator with an arcade style. The controls is that you can choose between the easy (arcade) or normal (flight simulator). I would advise you to use the normal control is so way easier to play with that. The reason why it is not a flight simulator is because the plane carry a lot of missile at once like 72-180 missile which is impossible in real life. All right more background information about the game. This is the first Ace Combat game that include cut scene and in game cut scene , choose your weapons before each mission, your allied and enemy talk in battle, and it have multiple ending of the game. Also the missile do their job in the game, really hard to evade and dodge for you and the enemy. So you need to pull some fancy moves to dodge them. Now enough with the information, onward to the review.

Graphics 10: The graphics was so amazing for it times, the cut scene look like you were watching some anime on a game. The replay look so beautiful to watch all the time. The game HUD look so different from all the Ace Combat game, and I have to say that it have the best look to. The plane are really good for a Playstation 1 game.

Sound 10: The music fit the game perfectly. The music just fit the time line that the game is in, and I have to say that the game is in the future. Some of the songs are really smoothing to listen to, and the ending song might clam you down like it did to me.

Addictiveness 10: The Ace Combat games most of the time deserved a high rating in the addictiveness section, because the game will keep you busy for such a long time. With it arcade style game play, and multiple ending to the game you will want to keep play the game for days.

Story 10: All right this is where the huge difference between the U.S and the Japanese version come in. The U.S version barely have a story at all. I mean it have no cut scene and the character is just got take out of the game, it just just shoot the bad guy down and complete the mission. The Japanese one have a very great story, and you can dramatically change the story depend on what you do. At first you are with this team, but later on you have a decision to desert the team and join a new team, or stay with your team. They make do this like two to four times during the play through. So far I only seen two ending of the game, and I got a sad one and a happy one. The story will be easier to understand if you understand or read Japanese, because the character and the text are in Japanese. If you don't then you going to be like me and said what the heck is going or wait what do I have to decide on. I almost forgot that the main character (you) is called Nemo (go ahead make fun of it if you want to) and his prefer plane is the Su-37 like on the cover of the game, and that the game take place in 2040.

Depth 8: Since there are five different ending in the game it going to take you a while if you want to see every ending, and I think it going to take you about 2-3 hours to get through one play through like me. Also the games offer a lot of plane to use, but you can only use certain one depending on which team you are on. Also all the plane in the game are fictional, but they are awesome to use.

Difficulty 6: The game is going to bit difficult for you, since the missile actually do their job in the game, and track you. It work both ways, so the game is also going to be easy if they fire missile at you a lot. Also lucky for you the hardest difficulty (hard) missile doesn't kill you with one hit.

Overall 9.7: The game was so amazing at it time, story is awesome if you understand it, game play is great, and especially the graphics. If you are a huge Ace Combat fan like me, then don't miss out on this amazing games. Also I advised you to play the Japanese version instead the American one. It just way better the the U.S version. Also Namco is thinking about to make a remake of the game (with the cut scene and the story) if enough fan want it, and I think it will look very great with today graphics. Seriously don't miss out on this game if you like games like this.
