Lots of people say Missingno, but what i loved about that trick even more then missingno itself was the fact that you could get a LEVEL 180 MEWTWO. I would love to see Gary beat that thing. Another good one is the infinite 1 up trick in the original Super Mario Bros. This isnt much of a glitch, but it gives you so many lives that the numbers themselves break.

My favorite video game glitch? Has to be non-other than the infamous Pokemon Emerald glitch which allows you to duplicate
Pokemon and items, more importantly legendaries and Master Balls. I usually did this to trade a legendary for a legendary with
my friend who picked the other lati so that we could still have our original Pokemon so it was a win-win situation of course
there was much more devious use of it as I stated before, duplication of master balls.... oh how much I did this to make my life easy,
I waited to catch all the legendaries until I had access to the Battle Frontier ( To be able to do the glitch. ) then I would dupe enough
Master balls + one to keep for each and every legendary so I quickly just swept each legendary Pokemon up.

I love the deformed bodies in super smash bros brawl, when you change the moveset, as some moves are directly linked to the character model.

My favorite Glitch is the one in Skyward sword that makes you can't go any farther in the game, but Nintendo released a Wii channel thing to fix it, so my second if you can call this one a glitch, is the 48 Ocarinas glitch.

This TECHNICALLY isn't a glitch... more of an oversight by the developers... but it was in one of the Xenosaga games... I think it might have been the 2nd (hard to say because they all kinda ran together for me) but anyway it whatever one it was, there was a status effect you could get which I think was just the Gnosis status effect as an allusion to the primary enemies you were fighting most of the game and how they would turn you into this weird crystallized thing before absorbing you or something (I don't remember the exact details and that's not important)

ANYWAY I was in a battle once and KOS-MOS was afflicted with that status. Now the way it works is that in 3 turns if not cured, the character shatters and is then gone for the rest of the battle. It was KOS-MOS's 3rd turn. I had her attack and kill the last enemy, successfully finishing the battle before she died... but once the battle ended and she went to do her victory pose/quote, she SHATTERED... like right there at the end of the battle. Something about that was incredibly hilarious because it caught me completely off-guard. The battle was over. That shouldn't have happened.

One of my favorite glitches was in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle for the Nintendo Gamecube (Might have also been in the original...meh.) Anyways, you went to the  "Normal" Chao garden as Sonic or Shadow, when to the far corner away from the waterfall, run in the direction of the corner, perform a couple homing attacks, and Ta-da! You are heading towards the back ground. You can go through the cloudy background, turn around and head back towards the land, and you're back on land, with the game unharmed.

My favourite glitch was probably jumping into the walls in the main part of the forest temple on the cartridge of oot i had.

You had to stand in a corner and keep jumping backwards into the wall until you fell through. Then you would fall into an abyss that you can walk through

I'm surprised noone has mentioned the glitch world in Link's Awakening (DX). Depending on the amount of enemies you've slain. (1-32) You'll go to a different version of a glitch world. Here's a youtube link describing it better.
