Hey i just thought i haven't seen a thread for favorite wrestling moments.
So in hope people will join in.
Here is my one of my favorite moments from WWE:

mrexclusivej2p : Considering that I use to cover wrestling my answer may not be considered from a fan’s perspective even though I am definitely a fan. It’s a tough one but for me I have to go with Randy Savage vs. Ricky Steamboat at WrestleMania 3. A match that isn’t given nearly as much credit as it should. The match wasn’t a long drawn out match as was custom in the NWA but in terms of fast pace those guys stole the show that evening. Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant may have drawn that crowd but as far as I’m concern Savage-Steamboat stole the show. 25 years later I still like that match.

The other plausible match or series of matches that you could go with is Ricky Steamboat’s matches with Ric Flair in 1989 in the NWA. Fact is wrestling was so much better back then as compared to what it is now. I haven’t covered wrestling in almost a decade but would have loved to have been able to cover it in the 80’s. I seriously doubt if there will ever be another era like the 1980’s in wrestling again or, a decade that is reminiscent of the 80’s again. It was simply one of a kind and I miss those days frankly. I still keep an eye on the business but I have no interest in covering wrestling again. It’s simply not worth it given how the business is now.

When Hulk Hogan joined the NWO and turned heel. The greatest heel turn in wrestling history in my opinion.

As for one of my favorite moments, I really enjoyed Bret Hart vs. Chris Benoit in WCW after Owen died. One of the best matches ever.

geeogree : That was a very good match. It would have been a very good match either way but the back story helped build that up even though the promotion (WCW) really didn’t promote it in a typical way for obvious reasons.

In regard to what I said before I stand by it. Wrestling overall was a lot better in the 80’s. Today it’s still good here and there but it’s more or less hit and miss especially considering the price for pay-per-views and such. From what I’ve been hearing once Vince McMahon launches his network the majority of what they do for pay-per-view now will be broadcast there even though they will keep the events available on pay-per-view for those who don’t subscribe to their network. It’s a concept that I think might help turn things around at least in terms of finances for that promotion and such but the main problem is the product overall is stale and what makes it worse is there really isn’t any adequate competition that would make things interesting. Where as in the 80’s and 90’s there were at least two or three different promotions running at once and thus there were alternatives if you didn’t like one product.

As for me I covered the business for almost a decade, about eight years or so. I pretty much saw the writing on the wall in 2001 that it was only a matter of time before the business digressed. It’s not uncommon for any sport/business to go through periods of declining interest but the difference this time around is that at least in the US there is one dominant promotion with no real competition where as before there were options. I haven’t covered the business since 2003 but I still watch regularly. Hopefully one day it’ll get hot again.

When Rey Mysterio won the world heavyweight champion against Kurt Angle and Randy Orton

Bill Goldberg and Hollywood Hogan for the WCW Title in like... 1998 or 1999 was one of my favorite matches of all time. I also enjoyed the Rock vs. Stone Cold any time during the early 2000s, particularly when the "Alliance" led by Paul Heyman was threatening to "take over" the WWE (the WWF at the time). The old rivalry between HHH and the Rock is also a cornerstone in my mind.

You know, I would love to summit an answer. But, seeing as how I started paying attention around... the time that Shawn Michaels got his second chance at Undertaker, I can not really give a good answer. It would be disrespectful as a whole. But, I can pick one from what I have seen: Undertaker versus Triple H 3. Oh my gawd. That was a heck of a match.

My favorite wrestling move is the RKO, because i think is cool the way they execute it, and almost every single time Randy Orton do it, is a straight knock out, that´s why i choosed the RKO because is a very strong pokemon is my favorite

Stone Cold coming out giving everybody in the ring a beer shower, and then Kurt Angle during the same with a milk truck.

My favourite Wrestling moment is from WWE. I think it was the Undertaker VS. Edge, I'm not sure. But, Edge was put through 4 tables in one suplex which was madness! I actually loved that moment, although I did think Edge was the best wrestler on the roster.

I really loved Bret Hart vs. Chris Benoit in WCW. I think that was a grat one!

When the shield lost for the first time ever. I hope they lose their titles. 

My Favorite Moment in wrestling was WrestleMania 19. Brock Lesnar Vs. Kurt Angle.





It was my favorite all because of the missed Five-Star Press.

my favorite wrestling moment was when at wrestlemania after almost an hour the rock took the title from john cena, i was so happy about that, i almost jumped through the ceiling of my old house, it such an epic match it went back and forth the entire match but the rock just over powered john cena and won the title, so in all time that is my favorite match

muaaz123 : I agree. I was a huge Rey Mysterio mark back then. According to his wikipedia page, he's planning on returning this month. IMO, he should just retire for his own personal well-being. It's a shame how his body has just broken down on him the way it has.
