-SONIC CHAMPIONSHIP-
Now,before we start the review lets look into the history of the game. If you have heard of the game 'Sonic the Fighters' this is that game, the name Sonic Championship didn't pop up until the game hit the American markets. And if you didn't know, the game was going to be released on the Sega Saturn until Sega thought that the game would be to violent for a entry into the sonic series. Now onto the review.
-GRAPHICS-
I give the graphics an 8/10 because even though the characters look like they are made of flat, square plates, there are no holes or gaps in them and they have some-what realistic movements thankfully. (I couldn't stand them if they didn't) The colors themselves are very clear and bright as you would expect in a cartoon-like game but the fit well.
-SOUND-
I give the sound an 8/10 because the tunes are catchy and aren't that repetitive. The clarity is fair and the drums in the background actually sound like drums, so that's a plus.
-ADDICTIVENESS-
I give the addictiveness a 10/10 because of multi-player. You can go rounds and rounds and rounds without getting board. (unless player 1 is absolutely crushing player 2). And competing for the fastest clear time can get very competitive as well. But be warned, It is very easy to go into rage quit while trying to beat the game with no deaths. So proceed with caution!
-STORY-
There really is just a two second story, Robotnik is planning to take over the world! Beat up all your buddy's so you can get all the emeralds to stop him in time!
-DEPTH-
I give the game a depth 6/10 because the game is fairly shallow, I mean that in that there are only 10 levels and the idea is to beat them all without losing once, so there you have it.
-REPLAYABILITY-
I give the replayablility a 10/10 because the game is made to be beaten in one sitting it's and arcade game for goodness sake! And the whole idea is to beat the game the fastest so of course its a 10!
-OVERALL-
I give the overall of this game a 10/10 because calling a friend over to play this game is tons of fun, we could go for hours playing this game! It is just that much fun to fight over and over and over again, And because the rounds are short, you can do about thirty before your eyes start to strain.
So that ends my review.
