Square Enix really did a great job with Final Fantasy XII. This games surprises us with an enormous and amazing world, lot of hours of gameplay, tons of additional content and secret bosses, minigames, beautiful music, nice characters and story.
Final Fantasy XII introduces a new battle system. At first, it may be difficult to get used to it, but a nice story-involved tutorial get us to master it. The great environment also make us to want to go ahead. Exploring the world becomes an additional thing to do in the game, as it has lot of secret places and bosses.
There's a nice variety of weapons, administrated by a licence board (easy to use).
The cast is very nice, with a variety of personalities and well developed characters.
Music is just beautiful. With some nice versions of classic themes such as the Victory Fanfare, or the FF Main Theme (also an amazing version of Gilgamesh battle theme), the soundtrack has a lot of variety.
Graphics - 9
The graphics in this game are amazing! Each character has very nice detail as well as the NPCs and Monsters. The color is nice a vibrant, without being bright to the point of a headache.
Sound - 8
Final Fantasy 12's Sound is exquisite. The music flows nicely with the game and situations throughout the story. Although the sound from a weapon's attack or a spell, may sound similar at times, it can get a little repetitive.
Addictiveness - 9
This game gets very addicting if your a fan of the Final Fantasy style of games. Part of the reason this game is addictive is because of all the extra things that can be done, from Bounty quests to loot gathering to unlock an item at the Bazaar. It keeps you busy.
Depth - 9
This is a very in depth game. The story last quite a long time, considering there is a large map with around 30 different areas to explore, and fairly large segments within the area. If you also wish to complete all the bounty quests, and get the most powerful gear in the game, you'll be investing a lot of time to item hunt and boss hunt.
Story - 8
The story in this game is well put together because even at points where to story begins to lack in excitement, the dialogue and the urge to uncover what happens next takes over.
Difficulty - 7
Final Fantasy 12 is pretty difficult because it requires you to pay attention to the way you build your characters with the license board. As well as the difficulty of monsters and bosses must constantly be watched. Even the dullest battle can turn violent with just a couple extra monsters or a single boss Aggroing onto you.
Overall - 9
In conclusion Final Fantasy 12 is a powerhouse of an RPG. It all flows together nicely and for anyone who likes an RPG with a great story, nice in depth gameplay, and great graphics, I recommend this game to you if you have the means to play it.
Also this is the first game Review I've ever done, so if you thought it was good, please let me know, and also let me know if there is areas I should improve on. If you have played the game, please post replies naming some of your favorite parts to the game.
Until next time,
