Mine was a blue nidorino in Firered, I found it while I was grinding my Pokémon but I was in the area for a good hour grinding before I found it. I don't think there is a specific way to get them however sorry :/

You might want to state that the Red Gyarados in
Silver, Gold and Crystal don't count. But other
than that, my ONLY shiny pokemon ever was Pidgey
in FireRed. Which, I had migrated from there to
Diamond to SoulSilver to Black and finally to
Black 2.

The first shiny Pokémon I caught was a shiny Gyarados in Pokémon Silver.
Later in Emerald was the first Pokémon I fought a shiny Starly but because it was the very first Pokémon I had no pokéball's. Damn it.

I never really encountered may shiny Pokémon, or may have not even noticed that you could encounter shiny Pokémon. I could have been encountering them for ages but never knew, however they're rare to find so probably not. I played Pokémon for years and I never noticed a single shiny Pokémon.

However, three days ago to be precise, I was playing Pokémon Rebirth, a hacked game but it still has all characteristics that an original game would have. I entered 'Legend Cave' and randomly came across an Entei, it was just a normal Entei but I still really wanted to capture it, and I did. Then, I came across another Entei but this time the facial parts of the Pokémon's face were all different coloured and were light grey, also the fur on the Pokémon was also a lot darker than the previous Entei.

So, that was my first encounter of a shiny pokemon!

My very first shiny pokemon was a level 2 spearow I caught on Crystal so many years back. I need to find that game again, I miss playing it. I was really young and didn't know how to really play pokemon. I leveled that spearow up from level 2 all the way to level 94. It owned EVERY gym and beat the pokeleague with extreme ease. It still has a special spot here in my heart I LOVE YOU FEAROW!! Haha

My story is sad. My first shiny was the Red Gyarados on the Lake of Rage, so no surprises there. My fist real shiny was... a Ducklett. A freaking Ducklett. I was wing farming on Pokemon White for a Beldum I was training, and sometimes, you think you're going to get a wing, but it's actually a Pokemon, and one of them was a shiny Ducklett. Also, shiny Ducklett is pink. I don't know why.

Well, other than the Shiny Gyrados in Gold, the only shiny i've seen fair and square is this shiny Golbat my brother caught in his Ruby Version. He imported it to Pearl and i think he deleted his file with the golbat on it...

When I arrived at Professor Elm's lab to choose my starter Pokémon, I picked Cyndaquil. Then, the first time I encountered something in the wild, the Cyndaquil appeared shiny and sort of a yellow/green color. I thought it looked really cool! But I haven't tried it on Totodile or Chikorita.

Mine would be a pikachu (no joke) I screamed and was really happy. I got it by resetting on two game boys  over and over in veridian forest took me about 4 hours so I recommend on vizzed saving f2 and load f4 hopefully this helps!

My first shiny Pokemon was a Rattata in Pokemon Leafgreen. It was, like 6 years ago when I got it. I didn't really do anything, it just appeared. The sad thing is, I don't have it anymore.. :'( When I was at 7, I always fought with it (and I think it had Shock Wave as one of its moves). A while after it evolved, I traded it to one of my friends for some Pokemon that I don't even remember. Today, he doesn't know if he still has it or not. That was the first shiny I had and it may be gone forever...... I miss my shiny Ratticate. D'X
