anacondrai : Hmm...I think that's not a real misssingno.  Yours might have been hacked, but I'll look into it. 

I never did that because one of my friend was playing mine pokemon yellow, and he caught a missingo. Then when I play it it say the fiel is corrupted or something like that.

I think you can do this with the actual handheld system itself by modding it or using a GameShark

You can get it in Red/Blue. Go to the edge of Cinnabar. Right when the water begins on the right, i think if your name is MyxMnz3 you can encounter a level 186 Mewtwo there.

You can catch missingno with it not corrupting your data after catching it go to your pc and place it in a box(if it wasn't in a box already)change the box and it will save go to the hall of fame and its fixed(that's how I did and its not corrupting or its just a lucky chance of it not corrupting

anacondrai : that is not missingno, but it is a glitch caused by the way the developer's put in the Pokémon data.

I have never heard of missingno until recently. I never was that into the pokemon games back than, more into the show. I heard that " thing " would freeze some people's game boy's and reset their data. That really sucks if that is true.

anacondrai : It depends if you have missingno on either red/blue or yellow.  

blade3143 : Yes you can, instead of using the old man glitch and surfing up and down cinnabar island, you use the mew trick.  You press start right when your about to engage in a trainer battle and fly/teleport/whatever to a pokemon center.  Then, you fight a different trainer.  After this, you either:

A: Find a pokemon with a certain special stat and kill it.  (Cant remember them all, but look them up)

B: Have a pokemon with the certain special stat find ditto.  Have ditto transform into that pokemon and kill him.  

Then, when you have done that, go to the trainer that you ditched.  Your start menu will automatically pop up.  Close it.  The battle music should start playing and voila, missingno.  

The game will probably freeze and you probably would have to reset.  I haven't had it work yet.  

Hmm. At Cinnabar edge you can still find Missingno.

 There is but one way with a Special Stat of 182. It will give you Missingno. Kubutops fossil form (and yes the is for Yellow). I believe it is 1 of two I can't remember the other one but  182 is easier to get. I tried just today and now have lots of Rare Candies and Master balls. Just be sure to have master balls in the sixth slot and then in battle switch rare candies to the sixth slot and catch it now you have lots of master balls and rare candies. To be honest I've caught one but never on yellow... I should go on a missingno. hunt... yes that sounds fun.
