I just picked it up, didn't realize it came out today. Anyone else pick it up?

I have the original PC version still in the box but its not compatible with my PC lol. But the new one is compatible with Windows xp,Vista, and 7 32/64bit. More than happy to dish out $9.99 for it.

You are so lucky I loved ff7 I have it for ps3 its way good I also got 6 8 9 all those for only like 20 dollars all though id rather have it for pc

I have a xp but it won't probably work, because my video card is so outdated, and lucky.

One of my biggest gaming mistakes when I was younger was trading in my FF7 and FF8. I had no idea they were releasing FF7 on the PC again and I might just pick it up if it's only $20.

Unfortunately It is only online threw square-enix. gonna run you about $20.00. I think it is well worth it to be honest. No image running, no issues with graphics or sound, works on all new computers. I got mine when it was just came out and was on sale. Glad i did i paid only $10.00 lol

I'm aware of it, but I don't see myself ever buying another copy of Final Fantasy 7 unless they remaster it all in HD.

Could you imagine 7 with 13's graphical quality? Damn.

legacyme3 : Yup that would be beautiful. As long as they do these other things...

1. Do something unique with Materia. Besides the fact that Materia can be gather, equiped, and leveled; Materia is quite useless. Maybe add a feature where Materia can be visibly seen on your weapons. Imagine Cloud wielding Ragnorock with a bunch of Yellow, Green, and Red Materia shown visibly on the blade. That would look very pretty (at least to me).

2. Add some story depth. Some of the individual character storys are not that good, particulary Yuffles, Cath Sids, Red Xlll's story after the events involving his father, Cid's in between when we first meet him and go up into space, and Vincent's story early on. Square Enix should update those individual storylines and improve them.

3. Once they beat the game, you should have the option of having Aeris still be playable after the death scene (she wouldn't appear in any cutscenes, just the battle scenes...but I'm okay if they don't do this since Aeris' death was a major theme in the story and having her still appear in battle might hurt more then it will regain.)

4. Keep the music the same. Self Explainitory

5. Tougher Bosses. Particulary Genova's Final Form, Septheroth, and the WEAPONs.

1. I disagree. Materia plays a pretty cool role in 7's universe. Every Final Fantasy has it's reasons for why magic can be done. In 7, it's clearly a different world than in others, so it works out fine as a cool little gimmicky thing. It also brings back a sense of strategy to the universe, as the current Final Fantasy games allow you to just have ALL the magic, and pick and choose whenever. Being limited to only a few spells/summons makes the game a lot more fun.

2. Story depth is a no brainer. They would need to redo the script as well, simply because of translation. The original had a few cringe worthy translations that I'm sure could be done easily.

3. I have to say no to that. In no way shape or form should you be allowed to play as a character who has died, even if it's after the conclusion of the game. It's just world bending, and it only really appeals to a small amount of the masses, whereas it would piss it's share of people off. It gets rid of all sense of continuity in a universe when you let characters come back from the dead, even in the post game.

5. The bosses would be made tougher, but I think the WEAPONs would mostly be the same. Ruby WEAPON is strong by today's standards, and Emerald WEAPON is much harder than 99.99% of todays' boss battles. It's just the world we live in. Bosses are easier than they used to be. If anything, I feel they'd bring the difficulty down, but add in a "hard" mode like they sort of did with Final Fantasy 13-2. Easy for people to just see the story, hard for people like you and me who want the challenge.

It was like the Knights of the Round summon.

Completely out of the way and unnessecary. But if you got it, it made the rest of the game easier than s***. Which is why I never bother going for them.

I wouldn't change a damn thing of game play wise for FF7, Remastered in HD hell yea, but do NOT mess with anything else. Leave the glitches and everything.

So far I have beat it on my PC. Still feels like the same old FF7. I love it. I recommend it to anyone who is a die hard FF7 fan to get it and have a playable version on your PC without having to do all the mods to play your old copy.
