This game is epic! Mega Man X4, everyone. This is definitely the most liked game out of Mega Man X4, 5, and 6, and for good reason. This is a great game! It's the only game out of the three to really have anime cutscenes. I am also particularly fond of this game. Other than a few minor things, I have literally no problems with this game. I could play it all day. The reason this game doesn't have a higher rank is because personally, I like Mega Man X5 more. I just think it's just a better game overall. But that's just me. Your opinion may differ. Plus, this game has given me a ton of laughs for a certain reason that I'll explain in the sound section. Haha. But overall, I give Mega Man X4, a great game, a 9.5. I think that's a fair rank.

Graphics: 8

This game's graphics aren't bad. They're not the best out of the four Mega Man games on the Playstation, but they're satisfactory. The animations are smooth, and so far I haven't found any problems with them. The graphics were just as good as the animations. They were smooth, they didn't have many problems, it was just a nice change. It was a major improvement from Mega Man X3. I don't think they could've done a better job moving the much-loved X series from the Super Nintendo to the Playstation. Personally, I do think its graphics are just slightly inferior to Mega Man X5's. But they're also better, because this game, like I said earlier, has anime cutscenes. Mega Man X5 doesn't. So for having superb animations, good graphics, and anime cutscenes, I give this game's overall graphics an 8.

Sound: 10

As I've said in my other reviews on Mega Man games... This game's sound is excellent. The sound in this game has made me laugh many times, too. Sadly, there's just one sound that I can't stand. In this game, my only complaint is the sound X makes when he dashes and jumps at the same time. It gets annoying when you play like me, because I use the dash button just as much as the jump button. But other than that minor problem, this game's sound is amazing. Now for my favorite thing about the sound in this game. I'm not going to spoil anything, but some of the anime cutscenes in this are hilarious. The reason? Horrible voice actors. It's just the most memorable thing about this game, in my opinion. I laugh every time. As for the soundtrack? What can I say? It's Mega Man. This game's soundtrack is epic. Some of the songs, I think were misplaced, but that's my opinion. I love this game's soundtrack just like every other Mega Man game's. So for just an epic overall soundtrack, funny voice actors, and no really big complaints, I give this game's sound a 10.

Addictiveness: 8

I love this game. It's extremely addicting, in my opinion. I can replay it over and over again. One feature they added is a character selection screen! You can choose between our two favorite characters of the series! X, obviously, and finally, we can play the full game as Zero. Each of them have concurrent storylines. But I'll get to that in the story section of my review. There are many ways to beat this game without getting upgrades, or only getting a certain amount. It all depends on how you traverse through the game's many obstacles. So overall, I think this game is pretty addicting to play. I give its addictiveness an 8.

Story: 7

This game's story isn't really too special. It's more about the gameplay, in my opinion. But I guess they did focus on the story a lot more than the previous three games. The best thing about this game's story is that you don't have to read little captions anymore to know what people are saying. They finally introduced voice acting to Mega Man. That's the good news. The bad news is that most of the characters have horrible voice actors, as I said earlier. But these horrible voice actors will most likely give you a good laugh. As for the story's relevance to the game? I suppose it's pretty important. Some things probably won't make sense if you skip the cutscenes. But other than that, the game's pretty straightforward. You just gotta go after the mavericks, as usual. So, you know. Just do that. For having an alright story (I guess), I give this game's story a 7. That seems fair.

Depth: 5

I really don't have a lot to say about this game. All I have to say is that if you prefer extremely long games, this isn't one of those. Sure, you can do a few things to make the game seem longer. You can go about this game in a different way every time, making the game seem longer. But other than that this game is pretty short. You really don't have much to do. Sometimes I find this to be a good thing, though. I don't want to spend 2 weeks trying to beat a Mega Man game. Long games are or RPGs. At least that's my opinion. I really don't know what else to say. This really isn't a long game. So for having a short game overall, this game's depth gets a 5. But that's a good thing for a Mega Man game, in my opinion.

Difficulty: 7

This is a pretty difficult game overall, at least that's what I think. Most others find this game to be easy as hell. Personally, I don't play it enough to say that. I've never beat this game without getting the upgrades, but I'd imagine it to be a pretty big challenge for the first time. But overall, this game's not too difficult. You could beat it as a first timer. It may take a while, though. But some of the elements added to make the game just much more difficult just make you angry sometimes. So good luck with that. If you're a first time player of this game, don't pick Zero. Picking Zero is like picking hard-mode. But if you do end up picking Zero, good luck to you. Haha. So for being a pretty difficult game overall, I give this game's difficulty a 7. Good luck if you play.

I honestly love this game and I feel that I didn't play it as much as I should have. I bet if I tried it again, I could beat the game without any of the upgrades. If you haven't played this game, I highly recommend you play it. It's a really good game. Even if you're a fan of RPGs, this game is fun. It's just an overall feel-good game, in my opinion. If you don't like it, that's your opinion. For all of you people who have beaten this game, don't spoil anything in the comments please. It's really a downer to people who haven't beaten it yet.
