I've been bored recently and have been going on a few streams and been watching a few OoT speedruns (not tool-assisted).

Regardless of how difficult some of the techniques look (frame specific difficulty), it looks very cool and I'd like to try (and spend hours on end practicing ONE glitch/trick strategy). There are different speedruns available such as 100% (collect everything except Maps and Compasses) whilst defeating ganon at the end. Any% run, which is basically beating ganon as fast as possible; the fastest speedrun for OoT available. Lastly the most popular and most competitive is the MST Speedrun (Medallions, Stones and Trials). Now if I WERE to do a speedrun, it would most definitely be MST, for the sake of the competition line-up and it's length in runs (3 hours approx.).

This would mean starting from a new game ALL the way to defeating ganon whilst collecting the Medallions, Spiritual Stones AND doing the trials, eventually finishing off Ganon using glitches and tricks to quicken the process as fast as possible.

Watching tricks and etc., I'd say I'd have a LOOOOOOOOONG road ahead of me before even attempting a single run. It took me 1 hour to get a 1 bomb superslide. Now, add that and about 100 other tricks that require near-perfect frames to execute. I say to myself "good luck", but hey, may as well try, right?

So, should I attempt this, or no. I've been a long OoT fan and have been playing for a long while so I got a knack for controls. The thing is, I probably won't go for WR, as I'd rather emulation (for saves/practice) and since I do not have a universal USB/controller adapter, I'll need to use a different gaming controller that uses a different deadzone (which I will try to make it as accurate to the N64's as possible).

Just want opinions is all.
