Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception is the third installment in Sony's Uncharted series, but is the first one I have played. This game offers the player the feel of a modern Indiana Jones game. In this game, you play as the character Nathan Drake, who is related to the great explorer Sir Francis Drake. Nathan embarks on a quest to find this "treasure" that the other Drake was pursuing for Queen Elizabeth the First. The game spans over 20 missions that will take you on a journey around the globe to find the treasure. So, not only does this game supply a fun gaming environment to play in, but you get your daily dose of History as well when you play.
Graphics 8: The graphics in this game are very good for the system, but are overshadowed by other games. The way they built this world is absolutely phenomenal! It will take you places that you would never dream of being in a video game.
Sound 10: The sounds in this game are absolutely amazing. First off, the fact that there is backround noise that corresponds to the environment you are in is fantastic. It really gives you the feel that you are in the game, and not just pushing around on some buttons. Another reason why the sound is so good is it's title music. The title music is fitting for the game in the way that it has many different cultures of instruments mixed in to it.
Addictiveness 8: Now, to be honest, you can put this game down after a couple of missions, because you will either a) Get so good at the game that you will really need to take a break, b) Stay on one or two missions so long that you need to take a break for your health, or c) Rage at the game after you die a few times on the mission with the burning mansion (spoiler). You will, however, be able to finish the game in a healthy amount of days.
Story 10: Just based on the fact that this game has Historical information and interesting puzzles, you can tell that this will be a fun game to play. The story line is so deep and interesting that you will always have to see what happens next in the game.
Depth 8: The game goes on for a long time, but it does eventually end. But, you can continue to play multiplayer and look for all those treasures you probably missed in the process of beating the game. Basically, the story ends, but you will continue playing for a long time after.
Difficulty 7: This game is very fun, but is also challenging. As I said about the level with the burning mansion, some of these puzzles are hard and require critical thinking on your part. This game may be difficult, but you will still have fun while you play it.
Overall 8.5: This is a very good adventure game that anyone would like. If you are in to any type of single player game, you are sure to have fun playing this game.
