.IMG, .SUB, and .CCD

I downloaded all the parts to Gex: Enter the Gecko on get-your-rom.com, And when I extracted them I assume I did it correctly, as they made one big winRAR file. When I extracted THAT file, those are the files that appeared.

I've tried running the PSX Emulator on the .img file, but it is just a black screen.

Did I do something wrong?

are you using epsxe and made sure you have the bios file, the graphics plugins and the right pc specs?

i havnt downloaded that particular game but i can tell you that those file types work perfectly with epsxe.

make sure you wait a moment when you load the game, because there is sometimes a delay when loading.

i'll check the game you mention in about 2 hours as i can download then.

Yeah I am using ePSXe. I don't know what BIOS file I'd need, or the correct specs. Are there any particular ones you can suggest to me?

ive gotten epsxe working on 2gb of ram, 256mb video, 1.6ghz cpu, so if you have the same or better it should be fine.

i'll get you the links.
i assume your using the latest epsxe, 1.7.0
if not heres the link: http://www.epsxe.com/files/epsxe170.zip

you also need video plugins, i recomend petes plugins.
this is the zip you need: http://www.pbernert.com/gpupete177.zip
extract that to the plugins folder in your epsxe folder

i have uploaded the bios for you here: http://www.filefactory.com/file/a2c6aec/n/PSX_BIOS_SCPH1001_zip
extract that to the bios folder in your epsxe folder

you may also need this dll to get epsxe working properly, i did: http://www.filefactory.com/file/affgb2f/n/zlib1_zip
extract it to your epsxe folder

run epsxe, if you havnt done it run the setup wizard, it will either start when you start the program or you can find it under config, wizard guide.
the bios file should be on the list as scph1001 so selct that. select petes dx6 d3d driver, then just click next till your done. (change the controller settings if you want)

i just downloaded and tested and have Gex: ETG working fine with those settings. if it doesnt work try changing to a different pete driver. just give it a minute when you start it to load, i noticed it also freezes for a bit when it is displaying the gex logo, but i think thats because the pc im on is slow.

let me know if anything else goes awry, i'll try an clear it all up.

heres a heads up. if you play chrono cross or any gpu heavy games, only play it full screen, there are some annoying slowdowns if its windowed. and thats on my quad core, with 8gb ram and 9800gtx...

Ah yeah, I'm a huge Legend of Dragoon and Final Fantasy fan.

I ONLY play on Windowed mode.

Same with World of Warcraft, or any other fullscreen game that takes a lot of memory.

Your computer sounds pretty leet though, can I ask how much you bought it for? (Or you built it? lolol)

yeah built it myself. found thats the best way for me plus saved a bit by doing so. couldnt say right now but off top of my head probally about 2.5k so it was a good buy.

im still tweaking at the moment, so i'll let you know if i find a better setting for windowed mode, i just usually run fullscreen, hang the ram usage

Oh, lololol, Well depends which you're talking about. For ePSXe, I find windowed mode makes it run a lot smoother, especially with the frameworks. But in World of Warcraft, it does not run very well due to LARGE amounts of bandwidth and memory.

However, my friends say Windowed mode makes it run better for them.
So I'm confused with the whole thing.
