I have to begin this topic off with KOEI. KOEI is the mastermind behind a majority of the strategy games found on the SNES. Aerobiz Supersonic is another one of those pretty cool games given birth by KOEI. This time it's a game about airline business planning. You take the role of the new airline CEO of whichever city you choose to create your hub or base from. In this game itself you compete against 3 other airlines to boost profits while expanding the business. The goal of the game is to rank 1st in 4 parts of the world for a year. If you manage that much, you win the game. It is pretty cool and far from a bad game, at least for the strategy seekers.

Overall: 7
As previously stated, it isn't a bad game at all but it also isn't the best game. The game itself can present some difficulties that might leave you feeling like the game is dead-set against you. Most of the aspects of the game work fairly well, but also seems pretty weak, even for the SNES. Overall, the game can be fun.

Graphics: 5
Graphics, to say the least, are somewhat weak. The definitely work for the game, but the overall quality does not amaze me. One concern of mine is the amount of graphics, everything is basically still pictures and nothing ever really changes. Whenever you open a new route you can see a plane flying to and from but overall animations are limited to a star flashing, a plane moving back and forth and a plane showing you in comparison to other players. Graphics do not make the eyes go wow but they don't totally suck either.

Sound: 5
Ha ha, music... Music can be really annoying sometimes and other times kind of cool. It can really get on your nerves when you're on the main menu screen selecting all the different settings before you start your game. During this part of the game you'll really want to crank up your stereo. After you get into the game, it's not nearly as bad. I could probably trade some of the music they had for this game for some music that I listen to . Sound itself isn't too  too bad, but not something I care for at all. It works for the game is all I can say.

Addictiveness: 8
As a firm strategy seeker, any strategy like game keeps me motivated, Years after not having this game, I've still returned to it to play some more. It can be very addictive and with having several different paths to choose, you can play this game in more than 1 way. Strategy is all about the unlimited possibilities in selecting each next step. One of the addictive pieces of this game is your ability to select different cities to start from. Let's say you begin with a big name city like Tokyo. This city would make you begin with a lot of cash because it's a big name city with a lot of cash. If you choose a city like Athens (I'm not sure if Athens is a playable city, but for the example's sake.....) you'll begin with a low allotment of money and the angle which you play is different. With having so many choices, you can easily do different things. One aspect that also furthers the addictive quality is your ability to choose each age which you play in. This brings about different airplanes and models as well as changes the amount of cash you begin with and the number of people in each city.

Story: 3
There really isn't a story here. The only real part of the story is specific to the airlines and how the airlines were revolutionizing the world. The only real role you play in the story is what models you use. That and you becoming CEO of a company in that region. Overall story, could be seen as weak, but there isn't a need for story here at all. In some aspect you might find the game somewhat educational, but it's purpose is simply business strategy.

Depth: 10
Aerobiz Supersonic is pretty in depth. The first part of this game is the ability to choose from about 30 cities to start from, each giving a different allotment of starting cash and different area. The second aspect is your ability to micromanage everything in your flights from the number of planes you use on route, the amount you charge, the number of slots you've placed bids in for to suspending and closing your route altogether. There's many options available to the player. You also have the ability to purchase planes from different companies. You may decide to run an advertising campaign, which can boost sales in the regions which you run ads for, Success for your ads depends on the number of  businesses you own in that region. So there's a lot you can do! You also have the ability to ask your team for advice and see where everything is at. Even your team can provide insight into your routes and what you can do to fix or make them better with choosing the meeting icon. This part of the game, you should enjoy!
Difficulty: 8
This seriously depends on where you begin. It's easy to mess up your game and be without money for years if you don't make the smart choices. Location is a major factor in this game. Some wars break out during these years and some of the real events incorporated into the game itself with you playing around these. Olympics is one such international event that gains a lot of sales and provides perfect tourism to whichever city it is found in. Another event might be a civil war where you get absolutely no passengers or your flight gets shut down for the remainder of the war, which can easily hurt a part of your profits. There's plenty of difficulty to be found here as well as find yourself playing an easier game.

In the end, this wasn't one of Koei's finer games in my opinion. I like this game and have personally come back to purchase it here on the Vizzed online gaming site to play it several times more. The few flaws it has aren't so bad, but that only really matters to someone who plays the game for the strategy. Hope you enjoy the review and challenge the game!
