Personally I think they messed it up just like they messed up guyver(live action version) when they made it.... But it does look good effects and what not... I see mostw movies anyway so I will watch it atleast once...

The new bond movie had good effects too. Problem was, it had none of the traditional bond element in it and it sucked for that reason. Effects don't make a movie as much as a good plot does

lets think of anime movies that worked shall we....
hmm.... the only ones that worked that i can think of are japanese movies. not hollywood. why? because hollywood is just out to make money, where at least some japanese film companys also want to tell a true to the original story.

this is why toriyama wanted to end db when he did, so that we wouldnt have to put up with crappy american movies ripped from anime

seriously, why do they have to spoil a good thing and spoil a working formula?
comics based movies are the only ones i can think of atm that work, and only then sometimes.

i love the spiderman movies but hate the xmen ones.
(hows that, an aussie that hates hugh jackman. lol)

I always thought a Gurren Lagann Movie would be cool. I imagined it with transforming robots and huge guns blowing the robots apart and stuff. It seemed like a cool idea but now that I think about it I think it would be really hard to make and weird but Gundam would be awesome. If they can make transformers they can make Gundam.

I enjoyed the movie as a movie... but as an attempt to do a good dragonball remake I didn't think it was great. I just don't think they can do good enough live action stuff because it was taken from an anime and the limits on anime are so few and the limits on live action are so many.... I just don't think they can keep making these and do very well.

I'm not suggesting you skip this one but don't expect anything extraordinary.

I never listen to critics, Id rather listen to what the fans think. My expectations are low, im expecting hollywood to assassinate another good cartoon. I think GT would go down a little smoother as a live action movie.
