Back when I was six, this game seemed like a dream come true. Finally, all these fun characters that I've watched for hours on end are playable ALL IN THE SAME GAME! YAY!  I only played it for a bit as a six-year-old, and I found it fun. But now I'm a BIG SURLY TEENAGER who for some reason wanted to play this game for nostalgia. It seems a bit... forced. It just didn't have the same appeal as it did when I was littler. Thus, I make this review to explain my feelings on it from the perspective of someone not really in the right age range.

Graphics: 8   Yeah, I know what people will say. "Senor! The graphics are all pixelated and terrible! Why did graphics get an eight out of ten?" Well, for starters, yeah, the graphics are pretty mediocre, but I'm thinking BIG PICTURE here. These are characters that were created by THREE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PEOPLE! The game does a great job of using somewhat different animation styles for each one. For example, while Danny and Timmy (Both created by Butch Hartman) look two-dimensional, Jimmy looks somewhat more 3-dimensional. Plus, the game designers did a good job of making completely different environments. I don't know, I guess I just like how they handled the concept art and designs in the original cartoons.

Sound: 9   This is another disputable choice in my review. My reasoning is that the music in-game has a WIDE variety. From the music in the first Spongebob level to the music in the Jimmy levels, this game's music manages to find a way to be new and interesting every time. Except for the second Jimmy level. That's just the exact same music as the first. That's pretty much why sound only got nine instead of ten.

Addictiveness: 1   Here's where the trouble comes, and why I only gave the game a five out of ten. The next three reasons tell it all. The game has TERRIBLE replay value. You win in around two hour, and you just don't feel the urge to play it again anytime soon.

Story: 3   Does it count as a spoiler if I give a brief description of the game's opening? Well, I hope not. The game starts with Jimmy Neutron, the genius of today's generation, building a machine that leads to alternate dimensions. (generic sci-fi plot... check) Dr. Calamitous, his arch-nemesis, steals the device and uses it to bring Vlad, Danny's nemesis, Plankton, Spongebob's nemesis, and Mr. Crocker, Timmy's, well you get the point. They build some doomsday device (generic plot-device... check) and somehow magically Jimmy gets the device back (plot hole... check) and he brings in Spongebob Squarepants, a freaking underwater fry cook that can somehow breathe on land in this game (plot hole 2... check), Danny Phantom, a guy who can turn into a ghost, and for some reason never stops in game, and Timmy Turner, a spoiled child with a lot of imagination in everything but this game. In this game, he apparently can only wish for balloons. Jimmy is all like, "We gotta stop my arch-nemesis! Quick! Spongebob, use the magic power of being able to make bursts of water appear out of thin air! Danny, shoot weird ghost-powery stuff! Timmy, take forever to wish for a crappy attack that has a range of 'You're gonna die before you can cast this!' I'll take a freeze ray that can't kill anything!" Well, the weaponry was off camera, but think of how fast this could have ended if Jimmy had just invented a teleporter (which should be a piece of cake compared to a teleporter to alternate dimensions) and an anti-doomsday device spray or something. Maybe just an EMP. This should be easy! The plot is so convoluted that it got a three, for I reserve 1's for games that you can't tell what the plot is or there just is no plot.

Depth: 3   Yeah, there are collectibles. There are enemy generators to destroy and microchips to collect, but the fact is, collectibles just really don't count for much when they're REQUIRED TO PASS THE FREAKING LEVEL! In a game that, even with "collectibles", takes 3-4 hours to win on average, this just isn't a good game for people who want a long experience.

Difficulty: 2   It's a kids game. Whaddaya expect?

Overall: 5 Well, It just isn't very satisfying. Despite reminders of the actual series these characters originate from, the game just isn't fun. It doesn't hold up well because half of those TV shows are over. If you want to buy your kid a good game, it sure as heck isn't this one.

Sorry to hear that it was not addicting at all I have not played the game before, so I would not have a clue about it, but I am sorry that you spent time on a game whose title makes me want to play it, but rather find that it was a waste.

I think it is just one of those games that you find boring as you get older, well, good review!

Well, I can definitely see your disappointment and frustration with the game. If this were for a better game, I would say SPOILER on your story section as it gives us quite a bit as far as what happens. But it is a Nick Tunes game, so I'm not really going to be bothered by spoilers Anyway, I guess even the kind of disappointing games need reviews too.

I just kinda felt like if it takes five minutes max of playing the game to figure this stuff out, it probably isn't that much of a spoiler. It's kinda like telling someone the starter Pokémon in Pokémon red are bulbasaur, charmander, and squirtle. Sure, I suppose that spoils something, but even if you were to try the game for a couple minutes, you'd be finding this stuff out anyway. I would not, however, spoil the ending by saying something like "and then they all died and became zombies."

Nicktoons Unite sounded cool, but in reality, it wasn't. I had it for Gamecube, and its pretty decent, but the GBA version just sucks. I don't like it.

As a matter of fact, I actually have never played the PS2 or Gamecube version, but from vids and screenshots, they look a heck of a lot better than this. This is the sort of thing I have second thoughts on a couple sections. (Should have rated graphics lower, for instance) Because I had played it when I was smaller, I was mostly looking at graphics and sound through nostalgia glasses. The good news is, I still managed to force myself to give it a crappy overall score. I may, however, look into the ps2 and gamecube versions more, though. After all, my Wii and extremely-early-released ps3 that is backwards compatible have been... underused.
