That is not what I said. You asked in an earlier post if I call myself Pagan because I don't believe in God. The Druidic Religion has several gods and goddesses as far as my research shows. There might be only one of each I don't remember exactly at the moment.

I also do not believe in good or evil. There is not such thing. Good and Evil are simply words that humans have created to describe things that they find acceptable and unacceptable. I did not once use the word evil in my posts. I said malicious or with intent to harm.

A good example of my druidic powers would be the ward that I placed around my Ex, she was my girlfriend then but she's going out with my roommate now. Also trees and I have a close relationship. There's an avocado tree in my ex's backyard that I get along with very well. He has a strange accent but we understand each other.

Pockets, as for deities in our religion, it depends from druid to druid. Some believe in only on goddess or god. Other's belive in a god and goddess while other belive in neither and just beilved in nature as a force.

What is the point to being christian? What is the point ot being catholic, or Buddhist, or Islamic?

As far as benefits... I think the benefits differ from person to person. To one person it might be a sense of safety and security they get from learning the warding spells. To another it brings them closer to nature as a whole.

I find that I get a feel for the second one. I've always loved nature, never really been comfortable in the cities. I like mountains and forests the most. I was very interested to discover there was a real druidic religion that worked with the very things about the world that I most enjoy and appreciate.

I am Wiccan with Druidic influences. Yeah, I've been a Wiccan for 6 years now, and I've recently started to study Druidry because I find it interesting. Many of the Pagan religions are simular enough that you can do that... of course I have seen Catholic Druids as well, so yeah.

And, case in point, I am the ex that Pockets is referring to (you could have said my name you know). I've done simular things with my magick, as well as various healing magick things. Even my parents can't deny that I've used magick to heal them. I channel energy and direct it how I need to... thats how I explain it.

I agree with the theory that good and evil dont exist and they're only terms humans have made. The magick stuff is a bit far out for me though.

I dont think ill ever favor one religon or truly dedicate myself to one. More or less I like to keep an open mind and learn the general beliefs,morals,ideas etc behind every religon.

I like to look at religon as a learning experience. Although personally I would say I lean more toward science in my personal beliefs.

I used to be the same way, Menz. Then I started looking up stuff online about Wicca, Druids, and other such Pagan beliefs, and found that what I believed was almost exactly what those Pagan religions offered. So that's basically where I started with my magick.

DOOT DOOT, I don't really want to start offending people.... then have to spend 45 minites writing up replies but... I happen to believe that if you have supernatural power, it has to come from a divine being. The issue on getting Power or magic from nature is a complex one. God, who created us in his image may have put the ability to do certain things into us...

Last year I went to a christian music festival called cornerstone. And my brothers and I because friends with my neibors. She was an Ex-wiccan who had realized what she was doing. She has a really powerful testamony. But what she said is that she was really communicating with the devil and demons. She delved very deeply into Wicca... I do believe in Witches/Wiccans (I guess some wiccans don't like to refer to themselves as such, but some do) because they were in the bible. An old testament king summoned the spirit of the prophet Elijha. SO oviously magic or Demonic power exists. On the good and evil concept... they are words created by us but the concepts are eternal. Does love really exist? We just made the word up?

But I have decieded just because someone had beleifs that contradicted your own that you should try to set them right. I think what I'm supposed to do is be a good christian example But christianity definantly gives you peace, with yourself and nature. It also protects you. If your a born again christain then the devil can't hurt you or affect you.

My last point is that IF, IF the devil wanted worshippers and wanted people to delve into things they weren't supposed to. Do you think that the devil would declare himself openly? He is the deciever and the spreader of lies. How many more people would follow the Wiccan or Druidic religion VS. following Satan. I just think you haft to be very carful about that kind of stuff, know to whom you are giving your devotion.

So are the druids the ones that practiced virgin sacrafice? Hmmmmmm I had better watch out then.

So, tell me exactly how wanting some good fortune is evil again? You make it sound as if all we do is curse people or bring back the dead or something. If someone -did- do that, they would get punished whether it is by your Christian God, or through karma.

I find it hard being at peace with nature as a Christian, because it is taught in the Christian religion that humans have power over nature. Power is not peace.

Belial he is saying that in a Christian's point of view there is Satan or Lucifer and then there is God. If your power doesn't come from God, then it comes from Satan. And somewhere in the Bible it says something about the supernatural powers not coming from God anymore.

Well it may not be literal. It may mean that he made humans more complex than other animals. I mean most scientists think that we are the only thing that can reason things out. Could be that that is what the verse means.

Zylo, I know you don't mean to offend people but you did. It is the one thing that royally pisses me off when someone says that I worship Satan. There is no Satan in my view... besides, that is what Satanism is for. And before you even say one word, no it is not related to Wicca or Druidry and any Pagan would be deeply offended by what you said. How would you like it if I said you were the one following Satan? Not a nice thing to say now is it?

Anywho, let's strike a deal: You don't try to convert me to a religion that I do not believe in or like very much at the moment at all and I won't try to convert you to mine. Of course, Wiccans don't try to convert people anyway because we think that people should choose their own paths and not someone elses.

Ancient Druids did practice sacrifices, this is true... but then again ancient Christians sacrificed lambs occationally, and I saw that on the History Channel. Also, many ancient cultures did such things for various reasons, so don't just say it was them. To make matters short, no Pagan religion today except for Santaria (which is just odd to start with) practices sacrifice in any way. In fact we think that it is wrong, and it is against the practices of the Wiccan faith to do such a thing. Even the Church of Satan (the offical Satanic religion started in San Francisco by Anton LeVay) does not practice sacrifice, I found that out doing a research paper on Paganism... they think it is wrong as well. That was shocking yet reasuring to know that actually.

Like Elara said, Ancient Druids did practice human sacrifice. We as a whole however have grown and changed with society and no longer practice such things. Zylo, offense is taken but I understand your comments are partially in ignorance so I understand.

I do not believe my power comes from any devil or such being. My power comes from my own personal energy and energy that I borrow from the world around me at times. Like I said in a previous post trees and I have a special relationship. I understand them and they understand me. Does being able to talk to nature make that an ability of evil?

The avocado tree in Elaras backyard has a funny accent but he's a good tree. He casts his shade, makes his fruit and wants for nothing but to embrace the sun. I've slept in his branches in the past and I still say that that is the best sleep I've had in a long time.

I found a willow tree.. He hardly talks at all, if at all. He's quite a bit like me. My friends and I relax in his shade at lunch well away from the crowds.. I think he's glad to have company.

And Geeogree, I laugh at Christians for talking to themselves too. Don't knock it 'til you try it. =|

Geeogree, I don't say that the christians talking and praying to their god a load of BS. I could say it is cause you know you're just talking ot yourself. That's one of the first signs of insanity you know. I would kindly ask you not to ridicule my religion.
