Eddy88 : It's way to late to comment about this but man you're weird!! I wasn't scared of that game plus enemies are just coming out of places so what.Thats like in most games and isn't the death music suppose to sound dreaded in a way?Its not suppose to sound happy.

I would have to say it was from about forty percent until seventy five percent way through Doom 3 on X BOX. There is this part where you are practically in the dark for about six to nine, maybe ten levels. And the things on Mars... the demons, zombies, or what ever the hell they are... they jump out of random dark places. Trust me, Doom 3 is not a game to play in the dark... make sure you got every available light on around your, or your tighty wighties might turn yellow and brown. Seriously... (and no, this did not happen to me, but it happened to my friend while while we were doing co-op mode)

I say Resident Evil 2 on Playstation. The first thing that you hear when it says PRESS START is "RESIDENT EVIL" in a deep scary voice. I had the surround sound on and all the lights off. Next, while I was playing, a part came up when Licker comes out and drops down in front of you. That scared the hell out of me.

death_nation : Imagine this... You're playing the game for the 1st. Time... You're walking happily, and Suddenly... An enemy pops out form the nothing and you hear that creepy sound... You wouldn't be scared about that?

Also, the Death sound of the NES-SNES Mario games doesn't sound a bit happy?

I would have to say that the beginning of Silent Hill three was terrifying to me, there was no music , just the sound of the character's feet walking on metal grating. I literally couldn't play the game past that point because it was so terrifying, it didn't help that I was drinking beer and getting a bit tipsy.
Also Siren is a very scary game and you have to "sight-jack" enemies to tell where they are and if they are close to you. Nothing like thinking you're OK and then sight-jack a shibito to find out it's looking right at you and raising a rifle to shoot you. This was played in the middle of the night with no lights on/

Doom 64 is really scary.   In the first level, I was afraid to move.   They made it to where it's really dark in places, and they made the monsters really scary.   You should play it: https://www.vizzed.com/play/doom-64-n64-online-nintendo-64-8972-game
