When I was young, and I got a DS as a late Christmas gift, I got New Super Mario Bros., and Kirby Squeak Squad for the DS.   On Kirby Squeak Squad, there's an enemy on there called a scarfy.   A cute, orange, floating, cat-eared ball, if you try to inhale it or hurt it, it turns into a brown, one eyed, sharp-toothed, floating ball, and starts chasing you.   This scared the crud out of me.   What is your scariest video game moment or enemy?

My story goes when the first time I had Rented Resident Evil on the Sony Playstation.  Back in 1996  Me and my sister had a sleepover at a friend's house one weekend. I was very unaware that the game had horror to it .I thought it was nothing but a mystery game similar to  the board  game like Clue. This was 1996 afterall games was in a  whole new level. After Me and my friend got done playing Darkstalker My sister pop in the game .After  the   cutscene at the start of the game .She encountered the first zombie. It was pretty terrifying to look at those eyes at first .She got tackles by the zombie a few times so she decided to make a run for it but misses the door and ended up at the far end of the corner .She tried to go for the door  door that appear to be lock on the left side .The moan came louder and so did the footsteps. When the zombie appear at the bottom of the screen we all scream out in fear actually I yelled a command to her to fight it off but it didn't proceed as planned and the game was over!My heart was racing with fear that night .While staying at my friend house his parents didn't hear us screaming at the time cause they had work I had imagine that a zombie would just go through a wall. The game had scared me to dead for a week.Looking back at it now its nothing but a nostalgia moment of my life that I'll never get to relive again ,sadly.Making remakes of the game for the 8 time just won't do it all about how it began. Not about going back and reliving it .

Mine was probably from Spider-Man: Web of Shadows. I got the game when it first came out and I was at about eight years old. I brought it over to a friends house and we staid up and beat it that night and tried to get 100% completion on it. When the first Venom related scene came on we freaked out. After that we kept seeing 'strange' objects outside the window. That game scared the crap out of us for a long time. If you think about it Venom is pretty dang scary and creepy.

Resident evil wasn't that much scary either you know?  What they meant (you probably know this but I say it anyways) that after experiencing what the did, they were freaked out in real life too. It was their fear at that time. (I kinda agree with you on the Kirby one though...)
As for me, the first game that had me scared and freaked out was Parasite Eve. I was at my cousin house and my oldest cousin was playing it and I came in with my other cousin at the cut scene where the mouse/rat was mutating and transforming. For some reason I remembered it was growing bigger and bigger, and claws kinda just burst out the toe and fangs just popped out, blood and all as it did. Then when it was done it sniffed around and I thought it smell the girl and then it started running off at the first turn in the hallway though. So I was like "Whew, its gone.." Then when my cousin walked down the hallway it jumped back out and I was like "AH!" and left the living room. This was of course when I was young like maybe...5 or 6? (I don't remember) but a more modern game that had me pretty much scared the first time I played though it was F.E.A.R and F.E.A.R 2. I rented it both and brought it to my friends house and his friend was there too. We were suppose to play through both of them all night long, dark and loud. So we're playing and first time I got surprised was when I went into the dark part of the room where goodies were, armour and ammo. Turned around and little Alma was right there, me and my friends were like Ahhh, tried shooting her but she disappeared. Also it had moments where I actually didn't want to continue the game because I was kinda "frozen with fear", I'd stay against the wall or corner for a while then move on. I had to do that at the school, and in the underground works/sewers. School you're walking down the hallway then a strong wind blows toward you opening and slamming all the lockers and the lights were all burning out, it would flicker off and on. Except the one hallway were it wouldn't work at all. The sewer I went through a gate door to turn a valve and then was going go back out but the gate slammed shut and pipes from above fell down blocking me to push it and ghost and those monsters things start running at you from everywhere.

When I was a few years younger I played Metroid Fusion for Game Boy Advance.   The monsters creeped me out on that thing, so I don't really play it anymore.   I was playing Resident Evil 2, and when I first came across the licker, that scared me a little, plus the zombie dogs from the games creep me out.   When I first played Doom 64, I was frozen with fear at the start.
"Hey! When you're eight years old, Venom is frigging scary. "   Vizzed Maniac  is right, Venom scared the crud out of me when I was near that age, it freaked me out just to look at him.

Well, it happened to me when I was playing Fatal Frame 3. I was in the room where you can find Kyouka Kuze. She wasn't brushing her hair in front of the mirror as she usually do. No, she was standing up, looking at a bed on the floor. What was she doing? Don't ask me, I don't really know. That was the first time I saw that in the game so, curious, I decided to take a picture of that scene. I aim at the ghost, push the button in order to take the picture, woohoo I made it, what a nice picture. AAARGH!!! She was in front of me, a fraction of second after taking the picture, and I had to fight her. I know, I deserved that, I was so curious and I bothered her. I was a bit scared, I almost dropped the controller pad on the floor seeing that (remember, that was the first time ^^ ).

Ah, by the way, here is Kyouka Kuze if you don't know who she is.

Caleb's dangerous hunts was a scary game. The animals jumped out of no where and the heck out of you, espicially if you played at night.

Well, when I was like 7 or 8... I liked to play Gun Smoke, an old game for the NES about cowboys... One of most scariest things of the game was that the enemies come from the NOTHING. That is, they just appear like nothing in the middle of the stage (on the game you walk from down to up, automatically.) The scary thing was that the enemies can appear while you walk without any problem, killing and taking you by surprise... And for make the things worst... The Death music was scary. O_o.

The scariest moment in video gaming for me was in Metroid Fusion. When I saw Nightmare in the background I was like, ''Oh god what was that?''. When I fought it, and his face started drooping, I nearly peed myself.

Probably the scariest moment for me in a video game was in Star Fox 64. Andross himself already scared the crap outta me with his demon monkey like appearance. But after I beat his first form, and he turned into a floating brain with eyeballs, I nearly shat myself.

Generally, everything about Fatal Frame/Project Zero 3 was scary. The game just seemed to slowly gnaw away at you until you're a nervous wreck.
I had to stop playing after a few days. I can still hear one of the girls in game,  "...It's raining again..." Just thinking about it fills me with dread, lol.
Luckily (sort of) I got completely stuck halfway through the game and never went back to it.

Particularly scary moments can be found in many games, such as simply walking through a door in Morrowind, only for some unseen Dark Brotherhood assassin to shout "Harrr!!" right next to you. Or driving around in Gran Turismo 5 half asleep, only to suddenly realise you're gonna completely miss the next corner. All good fun.
