Here I am sitting alone
In this broken old place
A lovely mess that I call home
On the floor that I call, bed.

Its 10:41 PM, the lights are all out
No one is around, no one in sight
The furnace can be heard in every room
No sign of any life is found tonight

The dog is asleep, the girlfriend is busy,
The grandmother is out of state and friends are in bed,
The people of the world have all gone away,
But yet here I am, still alone.

There's few to talk to, and even less I desire
There are few who I wish to speak with.
Everyone who is up is a total nut case.
I need someone who cares. Someone to talk with

It's not anyones fault
That I can't sleep at night
It's not anyones fault
That I can't think straight

I am me, but that's why I am,
I am still here, but why
I don't want to be.
It's depressing.

I'm alone in the night
As I'm alone in the day
Just like I'll be alone tomorrow
And alone the next day.

Not bad poetry leggy, not too sappy, not too crappy, I enjoyed reading it.
