My Hardrive fried. *Sighed*. And I may lose all the data off of it. I'd say around 80% of it is irreplacable.


However, on the bright side, I do have my computer back into operational status with a really crappy hardrive, but it will do for now. I don't think it should effect my posting on the RP (when we eventually/hopefully start up again), but if I don't reply, I hope you will understand why.

My computer is acting so strange; I installed Windows 7 again, and then after a hard reset, it failed to detect windows, and when I tried to reinstall it, it couldn't delete because apparently windows wasn't there. But when I tried to install it, it said it couldn't because it was there.

After 4 hours of just trying to get it to work, it just suddenly did. I have no idea why it would do that. This hardrive is old, but is unused, should be clean, and have no problems.

I've tried multiple restarts and it's worked fine this time around, but I am still worried to heck it will fail again. That, and to top it off that the chances of me recovering 6 years of my data on a dying hardrive is extremely slim, although, at least still possible.

And yep, been busy with the research paper. Prof asked us to do it the old style. Like, visit the national library and write a 15-page long research paper with your own hands, so it's eating a lot of my free time.... Next week will be the start of our semestral break though. I should be free by then.
