Once again, this is a review about the game called Boulder Dash, and its supporting system, MSX. Boulder Dash was created in 1985! Woah, that is a long time ago! Anyway, as usual, I'll be rating this based on the console itself, not in overall of all consoles, so bear with me. Also, this will be a small review due to the size of the game.

Graphics - 8

I think the graphics on Boulder Dash is actually decent for a MSX game, because it's appealing to my eyes, and all the color palettes matches the theme, just in the exception for the 'diamonds' in the game where you have to grab them before the rocks tumbles down to crush the poor mouse. It's actually good enough to keep me interested in the game, and if you ask me, the graphics are better than most of the MSX games here.

Sound - BLANK

Once again, as usual, I cannot rate the sound because I am a fully deaf person in real life, and if I were to rate the sound, it would be either completely wrong, or bad. I'm sorry about this. Although, if you do want to hear the rating of sound, you can ask someone else who've played this game, or test it out yourself. There's also reviewing sources, such as IGN, and more of the websites.

Addictiveness - 9

I give the game, Boulder Dash, a high rating of 9 in this category because this game is so addicting, you can literally go on hours trying to progress to a new level, and figuring out what to do when a boulder threatens your existence as a mouse, and all that. It's a good game to keep going for hours, and a good game to experience first-handed too.

Story - 6

This game has no official story, but you could easily think up of a story about this game after playing it at least once. For example, you could think the diamonds are magical stones that the mouse needs for something, or the mouse is trying to find the diamonds to support his family, and all that. It's a good tool for everyone's imagination of the game!

Depth - 8

I gave it a good 8 because it offers good mind strength for all ages, no matter what the difficulty it has, nor how much levels you've passed. It's a good game to use your strategy skills, in while using your imagination of the story skills within the game. I honestly like this game, and I would suggest for everyone to try it out.

Difficulty - 7

I gave it a semi-high score of 7, because in the start, it can be really hard to understand and pick up the controls of this game, and the strategy itself can be hard for even the first level itself. It's a good difficulty level, though, it exercises your mind, and gives you a good challenge to overcome.

Now, the final overall rating! I rated the whole game, based off all the MSX games I've played... It is rated 8.8! This is truly a good game for those who understands the game and decides to try for the challenge, and I simply think you should play it at least once, to get what I'm talking about in this review. Enjoy gaming!
