Oh, Ninja Five-0.  Why can't people realize what a great game you are?  Many people stay with the overrated popular games of today and yester-yore.  Yet, there are games just like you that need to be seen by more people.
You'd think more people would be into this game.  It was for a popular system, published by a huge game publisher, Konami, and it features Ninjas!  Who wouldn't buy this game?  Let's just say, the shorter question would be "Who Bought this game?"  Well, I did.  And I'm pretty glad I did.

Story:
The story in this game is one you'd expect.  Bad things happen, a ninja has to kill the bad guys responsible.  Nothing Oscar-worthy, but if you're playing a ninja game for it's story, please go away.  NOW.

Graphics:
The graphics for this game are nice and very polished.  Even though these games aren't about graphics, this game actually looks good.  Great, even.  It's got a SNES feel to it that looks nice.  Graphics aren't everything, but graphics here are one of this games many strong points.

Sound:
Oh God, the sound in this game is SO memorable.  This is THE game if you want catchy music and near-perfect sound.  The music, Oh God, why the 1st level music isn't remembered more?  I swear, I hum it to myself almost every day, it's so catchy.  The sound, while nothing new, sounds perfect.  The death sound, the swinging of the grapple hook sound are great and all, but the sword sound, oh God.  It's so satisfying to just slash the sword, it doesn't even have to kill anyone.  The sound makes it so satisfying.  Such great sound.

Gameplay:
Just, so satisfying.  It's got that arcade feel to it.  You go through 3 stages of a setting, (I.E bank, factory,) and then fight a boss.  The stages consist of running around the stage, collecting keys to open other doors, until you get a red key to open a red door to finish the level.  But, you also have to free hostages without having them be killed or killing them.  If you kill too many of them, you die.  This may make the game seem short, but there are so many stages, especially on the hard difficulty.  And not once does the game feel repetitive.  Why?  It's fun stages and epic bosses refuse it.  Seriously, one of the bosses has you fight a ninja master that turns into a fire-breathing dragon.  On an Airplane.  Also, you normally fight huge shoguns.  Don't worry, if you kill enough
people, you can press both A&B to become temporary invincible, or,
if your bar is filled all the way up, you can fly through everyone on
the screen, killing everything.  Need I say more?

Interesting fact about this game:
This game is incredibly rare.  Seriously, the used Amazon price is $60+, with the new price being $150+.  You bet I'm glad I actually bought this game when I could.

Overall:
If you want to play a game where you don't have to think about much, play this game.  It's faults are forgotten when you fight a shogun with a sword that spits out fire on a construction site.
