As fun as it is to watch The Simpsons, the game doesn't really live the expectations wanted for a simpson's game. The story in Bart's Nightmare is that Bart is doing a report at the last minute(Like you'd expect him to do)but falls asleep. He then has a nightmare that all the report papers he wrote were blown through the window. Now it is up to you to find the papers. What a dull and unexciting story. At least Bart Vs. The World had a hunt around the world. Finding papers is very time consuming. You first have to jump onto one of the papers, which is really difficult. Then you enter one of two different doors. Finally, you have to beat two levels of a mini-game to earn it. And big shocker, no save system of any kind.. If you lose all of your lives, the game ends with you getting a grade on the report. You can get an A+ to an F, which affects the ending sequence. Know that there is eight mini-games, each with two levels. That is sixteen levels. Once you beat them the game ends. Did I mention that there is no save feature or password system. You have to beat the game all in one go. This game isn't the best game and is pretty hard, but this is Acclaim, who brought you two s***ty NES titles, so this game is pretty good for the company. Graphics are marvelous, but the game is a little challenging for first time players and some levels have no music at all. It is a major draw back having some levels be dead silent except for the sound effects. At lest it has a nice intro with a cool tune. It could qualify as a tree house of horror episode theme. I give it a 7.6 for a mediocre attempt at a simpson's game. I officially approve of The Simpson's, Bart's Nightmare By Acclaim.
