I thank you very much for remaking this series. I dont have HG or SS so this is a great way to replay Johto. The only reason it's a low rating is because of the not 100% remake.
The graphics are as always pretty good. Games on the GBA usually have good graphics and the Pokemon series takes advantage of that. Especially how you change around some of the areas, and update some of the graphics and palettes.
The music in Pokemon games are usually pretty good, and this is no exception. The battles, Gym Leaders, Legendaries, and overall town and route music leaves little to be desired.
Pokemon games always rank high in addictiveness, simply because the large amount of Pokemon allow for numerous teams to be formed. This causes many runs through the game, each more diverse then the last.
The story, while decent, is basically repeated throughout each Pokemon game you play. And since this is a hack remake, that forces you to fall into the same category. Other hacks create their own story but yours is still enough.
The depth, like most other Pokemon games, allows for hours to be consumed playing this games. I have no problems with the amount of time needed to complete this game.
Difficulty for Pokemon games is all up to yourself. Depending on the types and species you choose it can be hard or easy. However the GSC era was more difficult in general due to the alarmingly low levels of trainers and Wild Pokemon. This leads most people to be underlevelled when challenging the E4.
