I do from time to time, but I would like some good receipes that I can work with.

also I have a bread machine but tend to make it by hand as the intructions tend to ask me to use flour and bread improver? what is this and is there any way I can make it, I could not find anywhere to buy it locally anyway.

No, I've never tried making a bread. Besides, I don't eat bread daily, only a couple of times per week, so I don't really need to learn how.

Iv had fresh bread (which tastes awesome)but iv never made it.
The breadmachines cost a fortune,as for making by hand i dunno.do you not need yeast,water,flour and self raising then bake in a deep tray?as youve made it im genuienly intrested in the answer.
