This goes for me, and I'm sure it goes for plenty of others too: If Final Fantasy VII (my favorite video game) was remade, it would be really awesome. However, as I thought into it some more, I realized that the PS3 is much more capable than the PS is and if FFVII was remade, a lot of things could be added to it. So here's the question:
If Final Fantasy VII was remade, what should be added to it to make it better? Should a lot of extra graphics and sidequests and subplots be added to make it better than ever, or should just the graphics be improved and everything else kept as similar as possible to the original? Everyone says that a remake would be really awesome, but what would make it so much better than the original? Could ANYTHING even make it better than the original?

If you ask me, I would say to jam as much extra graphics and sidequests in as possible, add some of the information from some of the other FFVII universe games, and try to keep the music and cutscenes as close as possible to the original. But what do you think? What changes to the game do you think would make a new FFVII better than ever before?

Better graphics which is obvious and some voice acting would help a lot. If you beat the game you get to play as Zack instead of Cloud with a similar but different LIMIT break Zack style. A character quest for each one where you must play as the specified character to fight a boss battle with because it's personal. New secret materia and enemies would be nice to throw in and new places also to explore. We also can't forget the sweet remix of the fantastic music. I also think it would be cool that we get to play as the advent version if we beat the game too or choose the what outfits they wear.

Mmmm...The ability to play as Zack as an alternative character if you beat sephiroth.
And maybe the ability to revive Aerith.
