I have recently started trying to get into my old games from back in the day, when i came across Interplay's 15th anniversary edition, on it, the game Castles 2: Siege and Conquest. After downloading the game SUCCESSFULLY to my computer i attempted to play it, as the game goes to start it comes up with three errors, all stating that the game has made an "illegal instruction", even when put into compatability mode (the Interplay disc was made for windows 95/98) it still has this issue. My query therefore is this: Is there anyway to fix the problem? and if not is there anywhere i can obtain this game for my computer? (operating system is windows XP)

The errors are as follows (incase anybody has some idea of what they might mean):

"16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem"
The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction.
(all errors are titled as previous)

1. CS:d378 IP:0000 OP:ff ff ff ff 40
2. CS:d378 IP:0001 OP:ff ff ff ff 40 c8
3. CS:d378 IP:0002 OP: ff ff 40 c8 00

If anyone can come up with an answer for me it would be greatly appreciated, and if any answers are given please be relativly simple as far as DOS goes i know very little

I've spent much time searching to find no answer, i sincerly hope someone can help me =)
Thanks you very much and i hope everyone enjoys the boards as much as i do!
