My parents had two cats before I was born. One was my mom's best friend, and the other was moody and neurotic. The only time that the moody one ever sat on my mom's lap was when she was pregnant with me. When I was little the cat would let me come up to her, carry her around in ways that only a 2 year old would consider, and everything like that perfectly calm, completely unlike how she ever acted. The cat loved me, and I loved her. I was the one to find her when she died. I think I was 4, and I remember it quite clearly. You've made me sad now.

Yes, in 2009 it was 19 year old cat and its bones were getting really weak she couldn't even stand anymore. We brought here to the vet at 2am or so and we had two options... sever her leg off or put her to sleep. We did not have thousands of dollars so we had to put her to sleep Was horrible since I grew up with it since I was a child. Spent about an hour saying goodbye to her and she was extremely calm (kinda freaky considering how shy she was around people or places) I think she knew what was going to happen.

My dog Freeway. He ran out into the street and started playing with some other dogs, who knocked him on his back. A drunk driver came, and those two dogs abandoned him and watched my dog get hit by that car. Died instantly.

Yes, my outdoor/barn cat Snickers strayed far from home one day and never came back. He loved affection and treats so I doubt he would run away, it is more likely he was hit by a car or killed by a predator. I still miss him.

I lost three of my wonderful cats: Blacky, Rambo, and Kekoa!! Blacky was my first cat, Kekoa second, and Rambo was the third!! I loved Kekoa the most, 'cause he loved me back!! XD Blacky was okay, and Rambo was always playful!! My mom loved Rambo the best, but didn't like Kekoa for one reason: Kekoa was always mean to mom!! I have lost many pets in my lifetime, not all mine but also my family's. The one I miss the most is my pet cat, Sweetums. I miss her so much as she was there for me most of my life, helping through what was not the best adolescence. She eventually had a stroke and passed after having been alive over fifteen years.
