I have to suggest you watch Eden of the East.  I just got done watching it and it's one of the best anime I have ever seen.  It starts out a little iffy, but once it really starts going, it becomes so interesting you'll just be enthralled.

I would suggest Phantom~Requiem for the Phantom~. It's very suspenseful and exciting. You will be on the edge of your seat the whole time. Another good one is Dragonaut- The Resonance. I can't really describe it, but it's really good.

Darker than Black is actually a pretty good anime to watch. There is also Air Gear which is pretty good after the first few episodes. I freaking love Gundam Seed.

You should really try One Piece. I love it. The best anime ever. It has 517 episodes and wont be stopping any time soon. So if your looking for something to watch this will take you a while to get caught up. And it's still going so you can watch a new episode every Saturday for atleast the next 10 years.
