Hey everyone just curious to know what you guys prefer as to get your characters leveled up. Do you like the job system, materia system or Junction system or whatever else they had. For me I liked all of them because the three I listed created to me good variety of things to do with your characters. What do you like the most?

I found Job system to be the best. It allowed for clear cut strategies and positions. It also let you know exactly how things would be. I guess its basically the "safe and secure" choice. I also liked the Junction system to a degree. I found it interesting how they binded not only summons but also Magic itself to them to increase stats. I still prefer Jobs though

If I had to pick, because they're all pretty amazing, I'd have to say it's a tie between the License Points system from FFXII and the Magicite system from FFVI.

The License Points gave me full control of where my characters were going with magicks, abilities, weapon uses. Great system, and completely broken once everyone is on the same page (which is having everything lol)

The Magicite system was also really really good. Now I'm a bit biased, because my favorite game of all time is Final Fantasy VI, but the way the Magicite system worked seemed to really tickle me the right way (a "tee-hee, stop that lol " kind of tickle)

Yeah I agree with you on the license system. I really liked how that worked out. I did like the junction system as well but after awhile I got bored of it and used a gameshark to get all the magic and junction all my characters with the apocolypse magic to my elemental defense which made me get healed anytime someone used a magic element on me. I know its cheating but I wanted to see how cheap I could be in the game and I found it.

yeah nothing like putting in hard to work and leveling up your characters to make them strong rather than relying on using other things to boost you up. I played through final fantasy 7 with only the basic weapons at one point and had a good time with it.

Yeah, I like the Magicite system too. It was a pretty well rounded system. Plus I love how anyone can learn any magic and stay that way, and you don't have as much limitation as say, the Materia system.
and... mehh... i guess it's biased for me too since I love FFVI too XD. But the Job system and the Junction system are great too.
