Scyther is one of the better bug types but it's better ability technichian is very good it makes Bug Bite's base power 90 as well as Wing attack. Stat wise it's attack and speed are great it's a good sweeper. It's typing though has a flaw mainly the flying part because that gives t a 4x weakness to rock and an two extra weakness to Ice and Electric.
It's Sprites have never looked bad and the concept of a mantis with blades for fore arms is pretty cool. Overall I think Scyther's an 8/10.

Totodile was one of the pokemon that sucked before the special physical split. in the 2nd generation the only good attacks that ran off the correct stat were slash and earthquake everything else was special. The the fourth generation cam along and Totodile got a water move that was physical with a good power and a chanse of flinch most of all it was an HM too, combine that and getting Ice Punch as a physical move and you've got type coverage gallore. Totodile evolves early to i'ts final form which is what counts in the long run.
The only flaw about Totodile is it's competition with alot of great water types that you can easily get or can easily find like Vaporeon and Gyarados it makes people like me less tempted to use it.

Next one is my favourite water type: Starmie

I always got Hypno, it was a great psycic pokemon to get in the beginning, and i always managed to get it to learn headbut so it was an awsome choice in gym battles. so i would have to say a 9/10

I don't find Stantler all that usefull since it's a mono normal type with one of it's well known moves being hypnosis honestly i think it deserves a 7/10 for it's good stats though.

i've gotten snorlax a couple of times in the red and blue games, he was pretty good and had alot of health. but when i didnt wanna get him he was a butthole to defeat! it took me like 30 mins just to defeat him, that and he always used rest... and in the gold and silver versions he used rest and sleep talk! ugh! that got really annoying... but overall, id say a 7/10
