Have some ideas you'd like to see added to the game? Tell us here!

Make the physical attacks worth using, I don't know if they're is a way to get ultimate weapons, but if there is then make those powerful.

Can anyone confirm weather or not the game has the ultimate weapons?
I'm still playing the game and taking notes which is a slow process at times and I havn't gotten any ultimate weapons yet.

If you have got past the Temple of the Ancients you could tell me how. I'll play it nonstop after that and see if they're are any ultimate weapons. That's if you or anyone has gotten past the Temple of the Ancients yet.

chugchu has been taking screenshots so if you go to the FF7 game page in the RGR you can see some of the screenshots she's been taking. Not sure how much it helps out but I'm sure it does help somewhat.

I have a suggestion, but it might take a lot of coding.
The ATB (Time) system for the battles.

Yeah, I don't know about that one.
That would require an extensive overhaul of the battle system & a very dedicated ASM coder.

I really hope my Materia idea gets added. I got sick of Cloud only having Bolt Materia all the time. I also wanted Aeris to have Aero Materia AND Cure Materia, but she could only have one of those.

About the ATB idea; unfortunately ASM isn't modular code you can't just yank code from one game and use it in another as is. It has to be modified and there has to be room for it.
Also, There are no NES games that use ATB. Only the SNES FF games had ATB and those games use an entirely different kind of ASM code.

There's a few things that are either annoying or game breaking that I wish to call your attention towards:

1. Text sometimes activates multiple times even when you don't press the button for the text to activate.
2. After Sephiroth gets the Black Materia and you return to Gongaga, if you exit and re-enter the town, the vehicle used to cross rivers -- which somehow spawns just outside Gongaga -- vanishes from the area, leaving you permanently stuck in that area. This may have simply been bad luck on my part. I moved to the west of Gongaga (one space from entering), went in, went out, and the vehicle was gone. Tried duplicating it, couldn't get it to happen again.
3. Elemental weaknesses are very confusing. For example, the RedDragn in the Temple of the Ancients is weak to ground, when it should technically be immune since it can be considered an aerial creature. Also, water has no effect against it. Another example is undead being weak to dark. I do not see how, through any sort of logic, this is possible, but if I'm dealing more damage with Dark2 than Bolt3 when the characters using the spells are roughly even in level to undead enemies, something is horribly wrong. Holy also deals normal damage to them.
4. It seems every equipment shop in the game sells the exact same equipment you could by at the start of the game, thus making it useless after the first town. All upgrades you can find -- weapon or otherwise -- are only found by rare enemy drops. Maybe we should have buyable equipment that's better than the starting gear for sale as the game progresses?

That's what I've noticed to the point I'm at, aside from the enemies sometimes becoming garbage upon encountering them. If I see anything else, I'll point it out, but these are things I would suggest be fixed.

I agree with all of Sonikku's suggestions. Mainly the weapon one, they are basically worthless in the game because they are only rare drops from enemies. I think this would be one of the best changes.

One more thing... SEPHIROTH IS NOT A FEMALE, CHINA!

--I have finished this game. The remake cuts the story short after reaching the Northern Cave (completely cut out of this game, replaced with Materia Tree and Lifestream) and goes right into endgame, leaving out much of discs 2 and 3. The game gives you one of those 'if you're ready, you ain't coming back' choices before going in, but there's no indication you're actually about to fight Sephiroth in all his (her?) glory. I barely pulled out a win against all three forms, needing every last resource I could find and pull out of my tails to pull it off. My strongest character was level 69 (Cid), and I didn't do much grinding after I got past Zolom. Pretty much everything else I want to say in terms of room for improvement, I said in the review I left on the FFVII game page.

...foxy need to lie down now, for he is tired from fighting for seven hours straight while listening to One Winged Angel for most of it...

sonikku :

1) I'll have to ask Lindblum to look into that since the text stuff is his baby.
Has anyone else had problems like this? Where?

2) Has anyone else experienced this bug?

3) I'm going to be overhauling all the monsters into those from FF7 and part of that will be updating their skills, stats and attributes (including elemental weaknesses).

4) The equipment shops even being present at all is part of a hack Lindblum created and is still not finished. The obvious problem with it being the duplicate inventories.

~5) All the sprites will be redrawn so we don't have such obvious inconsistencies.

Thanks for the suggestions!

The text thing, I didn't give an example, but there's one where you're disguised as members of SOLDIER sneaking aboard a ship to reach... I wanna say Costa De Sol, but I don't have a map in front of me, so I'm not sure. When you talk to members of your own party aboard the ship, they'll speak to you twice for some reason when I only press the button once to close the text box.

There's also a couple of cases of text boxes speeding by rapidly without displaying text, like when you go to get the Choco Lure from the Chocobo Farm. I'm not pressing anything, it just does that. Whether or not this is intentional, I don't know, since I've never actually played the original game, just thought I'd point it out in case it wasn't.

RedMageCole : Funnily enough, this isn't his last form, though it should have been. The last form is an exact duplicate of the two forms prior to this one, and they didn't use Cure3, which got to be a real pain in the rear fighting this particular form.
