So a friend said she won't be able to give me a ticket for her recital next week ( she does want me to be there, but doesn't want me to buy the ticket for myself ) and therefore won't be able to invite me. She felt really sorry about it and because of it, I said to her that I'll be going to Cavite for a week, and I won't be able to watch the recital even though I have a ticket anyway. And since then uptil now, her mood is...err...bad. She's not mad though.

I didn't actually wanna go to Cavite. Dad's asking me to come with him in there but I don't have any answers yet. But I said to her that I'll be staying there for next week right after she said that she won't be able to give tickets, so that she doesn't have to feel sorry that she wasn't able to invite me. But seems like I made matters worse.

And I don't know what to do.

edit: She even signed out in yahoo messenger a lot earlier than the usual time.

I can sort of understand why she might be upset, because you didn't tell her you wouldn't be able to go before that point. But I don't know what you can do, other than apologize. Sorry, I wish I could help more.

So you said that you wouldn't have been able to go to her recital even if you had a ticket? and now she's upset? Yeah... I agree with hypermonkey... there really isn't a lot you could do but apologize. But usually, that's very appreciated so I think you definitely should apologize at least.

try asking your dad to see if it can wait till a couple of days after, and try to get the ticket. im not sure if itll work with your dad and i have no other ideas. sorry if i was no help.

lets see if i understand this correctly she dosnt want you to go but she got you a ticket. you cant come and even though she didnt want you to come see it she is upset that you arent going to come.....this doesnt make any sense . you could try apologizing but i would suggest asking her why shes upset if you havnt already. she would probably tell you if she was upset about the ticket. but if she wont tell you then its most likely something else or shes upset that you are leaving. if it is the ticket then try to go to the recital or just appologize for not being able to come she would probably understand.

drag00n365 : No, I don't think you got the story straight. Juliet's friend DOES want her to go, but was not able to get her a ticket. Because of this, Juliet saw fit to tell her friend she couldn't go anyway even if she had a ticket because her dad was taking her somewhere else for the week, which caused negative results. (I can't say mad since it doesn't appear that way, yet it does appear that way based on the Yahoo Messenger thing.)

As for what to do, I'm afraid I'm in the same boat as the others. Try to apologize next time you see her and possibly explain things. If that doesn't work, it may be best to let it sit for a few days. But I'm no expert, so take my advice with a grain of salt. (...I hope I used the right expression there...)

I'm sorry to hear about that juliet You may be right she might have misinterpreted it. But don't worry about it to much because if yall are good friend's i'm sure she'll understand Because me and my friend's have arguments, disagreements and misunderstandings and were all still friend's I think that is something that friend's just go through sometimes.

Apologizing is the best way to smooth her feelings right now.
If I were you, I would say how sorry I feel and that this will never happen again in the future.
I don't think that apologizing for something (even when it's not clearly your fault), it's a big deal(not for me).
