Gigabolt Man-O-War is a reploid, cyborgs with human traits and abilities such as thinking, making own decisions, and feeling remorseful, that first appeared in the events of Mega Man X8. He would later turn maverick, which are reploids that pose a danger to the world.


Man-O-War was a new type of reploid that contained copy chips. The new copy chips reploids where in high demand as it was believed they would be more efficient. In addition, it was believed that due to being able to copy data and even temporarily copy other reploids they could not turn maverick.


Humans and Reploids tired of the never ending Maverick Wars decided to build a tall elevator that would take residents from the Earth to the Moon. The name of the project was the Jacob's project. Basically, it served as an elevator. Copy chip reploids where in demand to build it. One day Lumine (who is really Sigma) the director of the project stages an incident on Jacob's tower. Then Maverick riots start breaking out. Lumine himself gets captured, but this later discovered to be a ruse.

Originally Man-O-War was created to help manage energy supplies. He could provide energy to nuclear plants, and power plants. He could also charge electric plants. In the world's largest city he was put in charge of managing that city's power plant. He proved to be effective although he did have a lazy attitude.

After the Jacob project Incident Man-O-War went maverick along with others. He started to believe in Lumine, again who is Sigma, idea of a new world. He believed that the old world needed to be destroyed so Sigma's new world could be born. Him going maverick also drove him insane. IT appeared that he lost his mind and the ability to think logically.

When Lumine/Sigma needed electric power Man-O-War stole one of the energy reactors from the plant he managed. This caused the plant to become unstable and near melt down point. X, Zero, and Axle confront him. First though they had to knock him out of the sky. The three hunters demanded Man-O-War return the reactor to make things stable again. He refused saying his actions where not Maverick but his master needed the energy. X, Zero, and Axle defeated him and saved the city from a nuclear meltdown. After Man O War was defeated the hunters returned the reactor back to its plant. Not only did this save the city but it also foiled Sigma's plan of having nuclear energy/weapons. It is speculated that Sigma wanted the nuclear reactor to not provide nuclear energy to his "new world", but to use nukes to destroy the old one. This could also explain why Sigma wanted missiles and Rockets from Bamboo Panda.

Appearance- Man-O-War is based off the of the Portugal Man-O-War Jellyfish. A type of Jellyfish that in real life resides in the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian oceans. His head appears to be made of multiple chips and computer boards. He also has blue and purple armor. He has several tentacles that extend from his bottom. When he is flying he resembles a flying saucer.

Personality- Before he was a maverick he was effective at what he did in managing and providing power. However, he did not take it seriously as he had a lazy personality. He really liked to take it easy. On the other hand he was a reliable and effective in helping provide power.

When he became a maverick he went mad. His speech started to be impacted. This caused the hunters to state he is so far gone even his speech is gone due to the Sigma Virus. However, he responded in a child like voice I'm not Maverick I'm not doing anything wrong. He was unaware that what he was doing was going to be catastrophic to the city and provide Sigma with nukes. He also kept babbling about a New World and how sigma needed the energy reactor. Moreover, he had no remorse that his actions was going to cause a nuclear meltdown and provide nukes so Sigma could destroy the old world. During battle he shouted nonsense things such as food or random things again this implies how insane he had gone.

Abilities- Man-O-War has the ability to turn into a flying saucer like figure. He can also pick up objects with his long tentacles. This could be how he stole the nuclear reactor. He can also hoover and dash. When on land he can create high amounts of electricity. He also seems to be able to control how much electricity he wants to generate. He is an excellent jump and can move at a good clip.

Attacks/Moves- In his state he flies and as I stated resembles a flying saucer. The players have to blast him out of the sky. However, he will also fire bombs and missiles at the players while flying. After being blasted out of the sky he will land on top of the nuclear reactor he stole. He will then send drones of jelly fish to attack the players. He can also use his tentacles to create a powerful electric attack. His attacks due to his long tentacles have long range ability. He can also use his hoover dash in this attack he turns into his saucer form and dashes at the player trying to collide in them. Another powerful attack is he will use his tentacles to strike the player and produce an electric sting. His most powerful attack is he will jump up in the air and reign several lightning bolts down. If the player is hit with this attack it does massive damage. Overall, he has some very powerful attacks.

Weakness- He is weak to the crystal weapon as this stuns him. One reason this might be his weakness is that crystals usually for in very cold conditions. In real life Man-O-War do not like water temperatures below 50 degrees (10 degrees Celsius) The Crystal Weapon not only stuns him but it can also stop him from using his most powerful attack. Although it is risky an upgraded saber, when using Zero, can also do significant damage to him.

Gigavolt Man-O-War was once an effective manager and plant operator of a nuclear plant. Despite being lazy he was effective and could be counted on during crisis. When he became infected he went insane. He really believed in helping Sigma maintain nukes and nuclear energy for the new world. He was also okay with the old world being destroyed. Furthermore, he had a lack of remorse as he did not care that his actions would be very destructive. When confronted he refused to talk to the Hunters only to talk in a child like voice. Then in battle he said nonsense things.

If the player defeats him they will get his lightning weapon. The lightning weapon is very powerful as the player can shoot several bolts of electricity with long range. Zero saber is electrified enhancing his attacks.

He also had every chance to return the nuclear reactor to the plant. In fact, the hunters gave him this chance before engaging him in battle. Due to being a maverick he refused and the hunters destroyed him for good. The once effective manager died a dishonrable death. It should be noted the 3 maverick hunters did not show any remorse that they had to destroy him. His own actions lead to his demise. This was because he lost the ability to think logically and make moral decisions.
