Ninjis are characters that first appeared in Doki Doki Panic which was converted to Super Mario Brothers 2. They have since appeared in several Mario Games since then. They are sometimes enemies and sometimes they are not.

Ninjii's first appeared in the Japanese Nintendo Game Doki Doki Panic. However, Nintendo thought that the Mario Bros Lost levels would be too hard. Thus Doki Doki Panic was converted into Super Mario Bros 2. In Super Mario Bros 2 they served the evil frog monster Wart. After, Super Mario Brothers 2 the Ninjis where shown to serve Bowser. In other games they are often in castles working for Bowser as part of his minions.

However, in some games they host games that the player has to complete to win a prize or advance. In these cases they are not enemies. Usually, they host games in the Mario Party franchise.

However in the new Super Mario games they where back to serving Bowser as his minions. Therefore, Ninjis are versatile characters that can appear as friendly characters hosting games, hosting Karate games, or they can be enemies working for Bowser. It really depends on the game and the developers.

Appearances- Ninjis are usually black, blue or purple. In their early days they where shown to have fangs. In recent games their fangs are not shown. However, Nintendo confirmed they still have their fangs they are just now shown. They appear to be wearing two buttons. This implies that they are wearing costumes. They appear to be devil like creatures. Moreover, they have pointy horns on top of their head. They are short, but they are also stocky.

Personality- Ninji's personality varies with games. In the Mario Party games they are friendly. In their Dojo's they are friendly but firm with their students. When they are enemies they are confident, and do not take it off of anybody. Yet they seem to have a sense of honor. Also, when they are enemies they can be aggressive if encountered.

Abilities- Ninjis have several different abilities depending on the game. In some games they can chase the player and even jump. In other games they just hop in one place. However, most of the time they are seen doing their karate moves. They have the ability to sneak up on characters as their name implies. In the dark they can even vanish for a bit.

Moves- It really depends on the game. In their first game they did not have any moves except for chasing the player or jumping up and down. In future games they gained more moves. They can sneak up on characters to get a hit or two in like a ninja. They are most infamous for their karate moves. In most games they can kick, jump, and even vanish and appear elsewhere. In addition, in some games they can hurl themselves into a ball and launch themselves at other characters. In recent games they can throw star projectiles and other projectiles at characters.

Weaknesses- In the first game they could be picked up and thrown at other enemies. Also, in their first game they could be defeated with blocks or large veggies. Since then they are weak to fireballs, ice pellets, are star power. In some versions they do not like light because it exposes them and keeps them from doing their sneak attacks. However, in other games they where shown to be in well lite areas.

In summary, this is one of my favorite enemies other than the different types of Koopas in the Mario games. I think one reason I like these guys is because they can either be bad guys or good guys depending on the game. Plus they offer something different in the way they attack. Their attacks differ depending on the game. I also like it how their personalities are different to fit if they are friends or foes in games.

Ninji's as their name implies are kind of mysterious characters. As their moves change depending on the game. I have to wonder if this is done on purpose. Since they are based off the word Ninja. Ninjas where known to have different types of moves that constantly changed. It would make sense that these guys would have those traits.

It should be noted that like a lot of Super Mario Bros characters like the shy guys, snifits, and phantom masks along with the Ninji's are often portrayed as being part of Bowser's minions in most games. Anyway, I'm glad that Nintendo made these guys a staple in games. This concludes the Ninji biography.
