Coming here way earlier than usual because the free time on my hands has allowed me to complete Majora's Mask rather quickly. It indeed is a massive game and I loved every second of it, but probably I won't replay it since it takes so much of my time to do and I already covered all the important stuff. I wonder if I'll get my hands on any game that, like this one, I didn't get back in time but would be an amazing experience, we'll see if life has anything in store for me.

The rest stays like usual. Progress being made with unlocking things in CTR, portals being revisited and completed in Master Duel (I'm currently tackling those that are more of a pain, leaving the best for last as well as the new portal I haven't yet tried) and new things being tested and approved/discarded in Assetto Corsa.

I must say, though, that this past week I haven't seen many new things for Assetto Corsa, which makes me wonder if people is already turning to the new game two months after its early-access release. I still think it might be just a slow week, but we'll see if things return to normal or stay like this because I could probably be done with searching new things for it (or at least I'd search less often, knowing the load isn't as big as it used to be).

I also used some of my free time to start tackling seriously the guide for Assetto Corsa, because I think writing is going to be a fun hobby to have knowing how life is going and can probably go in the near future. Motivation is high right now and I feel my productivity increasing, so basically so far so good. Gonna take a lot of time to complete, and even more to find the time to actually lap all of the mods I have, but I'm not going to leave this project anytime soon.

Those were the news. I don't know how April will unfold, but I don't see myself making any big progress on any game because all my unfinished business either takes a lot to complete or is regarding a guide I won't tackle soon. If anything changes, I'll come back here and provide the necessary updates, until then I'll crawl back to my dungeon.

I'm back here again because recent events have made me reconsider a thing or two I want to share.

The main news is with Assetto Corsa, because it's official now that less and less mods are appearing for the last weeks. I'm wondering if this is really because modders are now focused on upgrading to the sequel, which I haven't seen more news of as of late, or because they're waiting to see if this sequel flops or not to dedicate their time to the game that truly deserves it. Depending on my free time the coming weeks I'll start a search for this, I'm intrigued to see how EVO is faring and if it will live to our expectations.

On my Switch progress, I'm wondering if I should continue with this CTR/Master Duel duality. I don't have much to do in the latter, and in the former it's just the daily challenges that can be done in some 20 minutes at most. I don't have much to do in other games either, but I could have a better pastime in those as I wait to get anything new in the summer. I'll decide over it in the coming days, because I could need the boost of something new or refreshing in my routine.

I've also been giving a look or two at my stash of potential guides I could write. That could also be something new and refreshing that replenishes my energy and motivation for life in general, so I could be booting up certain games to see which one will get off that list first. Nothing on the short term, though, it will be more like a push for the summer and attempt to maintain it all year long if my job allows me to do it.

One month later, and juicy news to share here.

My Switch progress is as steady as usual. More and more skins being unlocked in CTR, and slowly completing all portals in Master Duel. The latter got an update not long ago which added two very short portals, which were a nice refresher and also interesting archetypes, hopefully next time we get fully fledged portals to properly explore archetypes and their lore.

Things are as dead as usual in Assetto Corsa. Most of the mods appearing now are for already popular tracks, very few new faces appearing. Still, I managed to get my hands on a special mod I've been searching for years, so it was definitely worth the wait. Other than that, I've been doing some proper cleaning both on all the mods I had and also my special guide, which I should get back to soon.

In other news, I was playing Super Mario Sunshine for fun to kill some time this past weekend. My girlfriend arrived home and when she saw me playing she wanted to get in the fun too. Turns out she knew a lot more of the game than me and remembers it much better, so this many years later I'm exploring new levels and unlockables in this game. I won't get to clear it, I've already seen a few levels I definitely don't have time or energy for them, but maybe I could properly complete the story which would be enough for me.

Once I'm done with (trying to complete) Sunshine I'll maybe go back to writing. I need to retake this hobby or work is gonna kill me. Anyway, I guess I'll see you in mid to late June with more news to share, and hopefully with one or two secret surprises like happened this time.

With the summer heat having kicked in heavily, bringing an update here despite not having much to say.

The progress in CTR continues its usual pace in the pursuit of skins. Bigger news come from Master Duel, new portals have been added and I'm also trying to create two new decks to spice things up a bit more.

The progress of Assetto Corsa is barely unexistent now. I keep searching for things but barely any results come back. This means I can fully focus on my guide (which is boosted with updates on my sources about certain tracks, something that has also increased my list of mods I wish existed) and with summertime coming soon I could progress an awful lot with it.

Navigating through my old games, I suddenly regained access to three of them which I've been testing and playing a bit. I may even attempt to complete them just to have something new to aim for, even though I'm not confident in one of them for reasons. If these three end up being something serious, I'll make sure to report about them in the next post nearing the end of July.

I've also booted up again Digimon Rumble Arena and its sequel. I've been aiming to make a guide for both of them so I'm doing them more or less at the same time. They share so many mechanics and elements that the skeleton of the guide is roughly the same for both, and that allows me to do two for the price of one. We'll see if I can post them both before August comes, I don't have much free time these days because of overwhelming work and thus I decide to use my free time on disconnecting with everything and just playing for fun.

Maybe it could be time to get my hands on new material, but I don't think I'll do that before August, so for now I'll focus on all these open fronts and see where I go. Additionally, by then I'll start looking to get a new computer, which could open access to more demanding emulators and systems and games, which means we could get juicy updates in the next two months. We'll see how things go, maybe the heat ends up melting me any day now.

In the peak of summer heat, I once again shall return to check how have the updates been over this time.

CTR stays pretty much the same. With the upcoming summer holidays I could probably get a new game which substitutes it, because as of late I'm feeling a bit done with it. Until that happens, I keep unlocking new skins and I must say my pace is quite high, or at least so it seems.

In Master Duel, I tested my latest creation and I must say it works wonders. I'm considering creating another one which I have in the works, but with my current two I have absolutely no opposition. I must say, however, that premade decks you're given in Solo Mode are getting me on my nerves as of late, I'm still giving them the opportunity but my patience with them is lowering more and more as days go by.

Assetto Corsa is now mostly forgotten. Updates barely come monthly now, so I will be entirely focusing on making the guide with what I have and just go through the possible updates once in a while. I do have an itch to write about it so maybe that helps finishing that ambitious project.

As for the old games I regained access, they're mostly history now. One of them was Sonic Spinball, which I attempted to beat for the millionth time but I get inevitably stuck in the second level due to its confusing and kind of uncontrollable gameplay. The second was Ms Pacman Maze Madness, which I tried in a demo decades ago and I finally attempted to fully complete it, and I must say it was quite the decent game that I'd replay every now and then. The last one was Looney Tunes Space Race, which I had already beaten but replayed it for fun and so I completed it again, it's a sure fire to complete and you get several hours of joy and crazy madness.

I keep going through Digimon Rumble Arena 1 & 2, while not discovering many new things I'm digging deep into them and it's being a funny journey. Hopefully I'll be able to complete both projects in time, it was my biggest goal before summer break and it seems like I could... break it, no pun intended.

We'll see what August gives me. I'll post an update if I get anything new, if not I'll wait until I leave for holidays to post one last update before a refreshing trip. Until then, I'll remain in the shadows so as not to melt down.

I went on vacation and lost access to a solid wifi connection, so I resorted to offline games for my Switch while I was out. I ended up on Smash Ultimate after years of having it forgotten (my save state for Adventure was actually almost from three years ago), and I've been enjoying it both on my vacation and after I returned home. After getting used to the controls I decided to delve once again in the Adventure mode and it's captivating me like if I never played it, I'm already encountering tough obstacles but I guess I'll get over them once I get more practice with everything and get to know all the details, because today's games have a ton of mechanics and settings and such you need to dominate (and this game also has a vast open world you can traverse in so many directions that you can grind somewhat easily).

I'm continuing my quest on Master Duel, but obviously my pace has slowed since my holidays both for lack of free time and my renewed interest in Smash Ultimate. It's still interesting to visit once in a while as updates keep coming, so I guess I'll always pop in every now and then.

Assetto Corsa is effectively forgotten since updates are very scarce. I dedicated August into developing more my guide, which meant some mods were deleted for not fulfilling the standards. I'm now almost ready to tackle it, once I get my hands on a new computer which I initially wanted to have already happened but life once again got in the way of everything. I may dedicate some more time to it these days, time will say.

After the guide for Digimon Rumble Arena, I now can dedicate my time to its sequel. I've progressed a bit and we'll see how much more I can advance this week and whe I return to work next week. Will be tough because hard times are approaching and I now have other ways of disconnecting from reality, but I don't discard returning to the old ways that have proved their effectiveness time and time again.

These are the big changes since last time. We'll see if I can reconnect with the upgrade of my computer and if it opens up any doors for me, for now I'll enjoy what's left of my holidays and dedicate myself to other projects which require my attention. I guess I'll be back in October once the bulk of work has passed by to share more of my progress (which at least in the case of Smash Ultimate will surely be a reality).

I managed to complete Smash Ultimate's story mode with all endings and spirits, and I must say it's quite the oddisey. The new game plus is a bit overpowered, with all characters and previously attained (and trained and levelled up) spirits it's like difficulty went down several levels, but still helps grinding spirits for summoning and such though I don't see myself completing the spirit list as it requires way too much grinding. I'm completing the Arcade mode now, trying different characters and difficulties because now each character has its own path instead of a simple pattern with randomized opponents. And so far its a great way to pass time so it's going to be like this for a long while until I've explored everything the game offers beyond grinding and the everlasting spirit board battles.

In Master Duel, I'm close on completing the first selection of my portals, which covers all archetypes I'm not into using. I still have a few portals to start from scratch and then will go the portals whose archetypes I'm familiar with. My progress has increased lately, so even though there's a long way to go I might be done with this sooner than expected. In an effort to prolong things, I created a draft of two other decks I wanted to include in my roster so I also open the chance of dedicating time to obtaining cards and trading what I need to get these decks and put them against real challenges. We'll see if I dedicate time to this before tackling the portals I haven't touched yet.

I've retaken Digimon Rumble Arena 2 in an attempt to complete the guide I shelved due to work. It requires some recording so we'll see if I can still manage it on my computer or I'll have to wait until getting the new one. It's a funny game to pass the time due to all the possible options so in any case it's gonna be an entertaining time no matter the result.

In case I can't finish that guide I will go to Assetto Corsa. I'm now entirely focused on my guide because even with just a single monthly search updates for mods are very scarce (and I just learned a new AC game is coming the next month in early access again so even more obstacles for updates), and it's slowly becoming a decent work. It's now at above 60k words and I still have to tackle important sections as well as lapping each of the 130+ tracks, so it can potentially double the length of the BT3 guide that set the bar at 74k.

That's everything that has happened gaming-wise during this period. We'll see if I get anything new until the next update (new computer, further emulations possibilities, new games...) or if progress is enough to make a report. I'll definitely come once more before the year ends, so until then happy gaming.

I keep smashing hours into Smash Ultimate, clearing Classic Mode with a few characters and going my way through the spirit list. I'm focusing on those that evolve, and I still have pending checking those I'm still missing and how to get them. But these are just small goals that I'm sincerely not dedicating enough time into, they're a nice way to pass time until I set my mind on a new project.

I already completed the first section of portals in Master Duel, so now I've started with the untouched ones. Seems like I'm in for some interesting tactics I didn't know of, so the path ahead looks interesting. Also, we had some updates on the packs which granted me some new cards I could trade for the ones I need to complete my drafts, so I'll see if I can complete any and try it out somewhere. I'm still wondering when did Master Duel become more interesting than the "main" games I play...

I haven't been playing anything else actively. Assetto Corsa is there and I go to it whenever I watch some racing because mods are extremely scarce, some other game I play when bored and I have some free time, the games I want to work on a guide for... I also started reminiscing about Majora's Mask, I liked it a lot and maybe I could delve again into it, now not needing to go through all masks and not needing to explore all heart pieces, but it takes a lot of time so we'll see if I eventually end up playing it or I postpone it for later.

Those are all the updates so far. I'll come back once more before Christmas to see how did the year end and the prospects for the new one because January is a busy month at work for me. And I also need to dedicate some time to my rented forum, not everything needs to be gaming or gaming-related writing.
