I'm back with a review of Kill la Kill - IF. A review of a licensed game is something unusual coming from me, in any case, a review of Kill la Kill - IF is consistent with what I usually review, and if one wants fanservice, this game is a great source of that...it's Kill la Kill, let's leave it at that. I can say for sure that you don't have to be a Kill la Kill fan to enjoy this game...let's begin.

Story: I'll be honest, I haven't been able to see everything that the story offers in this game...Kill la Kill - IF has multiple stories or paths, like many other games (some Sonic Games, Scarlet Nexus, Atelier Shallie, Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus...), and at first, you only have access to Satsuki Kiryuin's story, after you finish her story, you unlock Ryuko Matoi's story...well, I haven't been able to beat Ryuko's story but let's leave the details for later. Kill la Kill - IF should have a ''what if'' story compared to the anime and manga, I guess there is a reason why the game if officially known as ''Kill la Kill - IF'' or something like that, I haven't watched a single episode of the anime, but after beating Satsuki's story, I guess I can say that what the game might have for a story works, it's nothing amazing or incredible of course, but it works, and the few twists in the story (at least the story I could finish) keep things a little interesting. Some details, as you probably know, are ''I want to know who killed my father'', using COVERS to absorb everything, etc. It's a fighting game based on Kill la Kill, it's probably a game one doesn't play for the story, in any case, a 7/10 might be fine for this category.

Graphics: Kill la Kill - IF looks amazing, graphically it should be on par with the PS4 version or at least it looks almost exactly the same. The 3D Models look really nice, the animations are smooth and overall, it's a stylish game, considering that we are talking about the Kill la Kill franchise here, it couldn't have been any other way...Kill la Kill - IF has a lot of style and it looks great. It also runs pretty well, with a framerate of 30 frames per second, the game never suffers from slowdown...or at least it has rare moments of slowdown at worst. Yeah, Kill la Kill - IF looks great and it also runs well.

Sound: Not the most memorable soundtrack I would say, but there are a few great songs in the game. The music used in the main menu is great, the vocal song for the title theme is pretty good, Satsuki Kiryuin has a great theme and...not much else. Even if the music isn't that memorable, the music works for the game, and as I said, there are some themes that definitely stand out and are great. Kill la Kill - IF is a fighting game and as such, it has satisfying sound effects that complement the action. The game has English voices, and the English voice actors reprise their roles...oh yeah. Ryuko Matoi is voiced by Erica Mendez, Shiro Iori is voiced by Todd Haberkorn, Satsuki Kiryuin is voiced by Carrie Keranen etc, Arc System Works got the English cast back, and it's amazing, Kill la Kill - IF has a great English dub, I really like the English voice acting.

Addictive: A 3D fighting game, that's what Kill la Kill - IF is, I'm very bad at the game, but even so I have a blast when I play Kill la Kill - IF, the game is very fun in my opinion and it has several playable characters, I mostly play as Satsuki Kiryuin mostly because she's the first character available, but it should be fun to play as other characters in the game. You can jump with the A button, attack with the X and Y buttons, use the B button for a counterattack (if I remember correctly) and you can also use the L button for special attacks that are more powerful, as you attack your enemy (or enemies), a metter fills little by little, and after a while you can use the L and X buttons (for example) to use what you have accumulated for said meter and execute a strong attack. The fact that you use the L button and the attack buttons at the same time actually reminds me of games developed by Tamsoft, the concept is similar to what we see in Senran Kagura: Estival Versus and Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed (other great games in my opinion). There are a few game modes and if you ask me, COVERS challenge is very fun, it reminds me of games in the musou genre...it's always fun to fight a lot of enemies at the same time, eliminating one after another. Overall Kill la Kill - IF is very fun to play, I really like it...

Depth: With different game modes, a lot of unlockable content, and at least 2 different stories to play, Kill la Kill - IF offers some content, I don't think it deserves a 9 or more, but it really is a game that will keep you busy for some time if you want to unlock everything.

Difficulty: I'm not good at Kill la Kill - IF, I have tried to finish Ryuko's story, believe me, but...I can't even beat the first part of said story...the first thing you have to do in Ryuko's story is defeat The Elite Four and you have to defeat those characters in a row...this means that you have to fight them without losing a fight, if you defeat the first character Ira Gamagori and the character you have to fight right after that fight defeats you, you have to fight against Ira Gamagori again, and that's not all, you don't recover your health between each fight, if Ira managed to hurt you during the first fight and you defeat him, your health bar won't be full for the next fight...it's as difficult as it sounds...Kill la Kill - IF also has 3 difficulty levels...if you are more or less good at fighting games unlike me, I want to think that everyone would think that this game still deserves at least an 8/10 or something like that...Kill la Kill - IF can be a very difficult game...you have been warned...

Kill la Kill - IF is a fun and difficult 3D fighting game I can easily recommend if you don't have a problem with fanservice and/or revealing designs. The fun gameplay, different game modes, the fact that the game can be played in other languages (if you update the game) including Spanish, and the unlockable content are just some of the reasons to come back for more, the game deserves its M rating (it's a Kill la Kill game, come on), but for the people who don't have a problem with fanservice and want a game with a lot of style, Kill la Kill - IF is a great game...even if you haven't watched the anime.
