inFAMOUS: Second Son... Ugh!
I will start off by saying that the only thing I legitimately enjoyed about whatever this game is was the graphics. It felt like it must have required a whole lot of effort to capture the overall beautiful backdrop.
BUT! My praise ends right there. For starters, the soundtrack overall is SO mind-numbingly repetitive. To me, the work ethic of the sound crew felt like this, pretty much: "Let's put all our effort into the opening scene's background music and perform so mundane after that, the player(s) won't even notice there's a soundtrack anymore for the rest of the game."
I found that the gameplay was... decent, at the absolute best. It was just kind of... there. I've literally only replayed this game once, and that was for the alternate ending. Other than that, I might never pick it up again.
The story overall was likely the least enjoyable thing in the entire franchise for me. Everything from the characters who were as annoying as they were pointless, to the boring and forgettable main villain (including her master plan), to the fact that the only acknowledgement of the previous two games whatsoever was in the form of a costume and a loading screen tip, were all frustrating beyond belief to me personally.
I don't doubt this game has it's fair share of fans, but when it comes to me, I find myself lacking anything good to say about this game outside the graphics.
